Whenever I travelled abroad, I collected art. Vintage items, furniture, paintings and sculptures. And when I finally found a house with a view of the Karkonosze Mountains - these items found a home with me. Every corner of the house remembers those journeys. Decorating is an art, I love it. Taras Tarczyn has been written about in such magazines as Weranda or in "Odetchnij od Miasto" by Aleksandra Bogusławska, and its history, beauty and location attract wonderful people here. They are looking for nature, silence, art, design and a bit of artistic nonchalance. When you come here in your free time, even for a short weekend, make yourself a coffee, listen to the silence, look into the distance, where you can see Śnieżka, and sometimes also Śnieżne Kotły. The view is spectacular. It was this wonderful surrounding nature that inspired me to design an (eco) house and its interior. It all connects. Or, as the famous artist Hans Vis once told me: "It all breathes together."

Host:
Urian
My name is Urian. I'm a Dutchman, I'm 65 years old and I'm passionate about nature, interiors, art and good food. Professionally I am a gardener, designer and painter. I came here about 34 years ago and have already stayed, working on my guesthouse in Tarczyn since more than twenty four years. Tarczyn is the most beautiful place on earth. It is my greatest passion. Once an inn and a barn, now several apartments for explorers and adventurers mainly from Poland and around the world.

Taras Tarczyn consists of two buildings with a past: an inn and a barn. I have renovated them and I live in an old inn, and I have prepared a barn for the guests. The house is full of beautiful items and furniture. It is full of antiques, designer details and pearls straight from the flea market. From my travels around France, Italy, Spain, Morocco, India, Mexico, Senegal etc. I brought a few things that decorate the interior and create a unique atmosphere. Sometimes I close myself in the workshop and create furniture myself, or I restore old furniture in which I see potential. Four sleeping options are waiting for you: -Apartment - located on the ground floor of an old barn and can accommodate 2 people. The apartment is divided into a kitchen with a living room at the front and a bedroom at the rear with a double bed. The bathroom is in the middle and separates the two spaces. There is a fireplace in the living room, which not only adds atmosphere, but also warms the apartment. - Loft - you have to go up the stairs, because it's on the first floor. The apartment has 2 double bedrooms, one triple and one single bedroom, and a niche under the stairs with a single bed, so it can easily accommodate 9 people. You will also find a lounge with a fireplace, a comfortable sofa and several seating areas. Next to the equipped kitchen there is a large table so that everyone can sit down together to eat. The spacious bathroom has a Moroccan mosaic, a wash basin and a shower cabin. The main bedroom has a double bed, a fireplace that can also be used as a stove, sink and basic kitchen utensils. The second bedroom is on the same level and the third bedroom is on the top floor in the attic. Both have two single beds. Additionally, the bed for the seventh person, which is located in the niche under the stairs, can be separated by a curtain from the main part of the living room, thanks to which we gain privacy. -Camping - you can also come with your own equipment and pitch a tent in my garden. I will provide you with electricity, bathroom, kitchen and a great holiday.

On the other side, up the hill, you can hire a horse and go for a ride in the wilderness. The guys are famous for their spectacular trips through the hills, forests and fields. Canoeing is just around the corner. The Bóbr River has been attracting tourists and nature lovers for hundreds of years. If you start here you just pass the small town of Wlen and from there you don't see any houses anymore. Simply nature, the calming flow of clear water overlooking kingfishers and dragonflies. In this part of Lower Silesia, hiking is becoming more and more popular. Numerous trails lead through forests and hills, and the mountains are not very high. It is also a wonderful environment for not very professional hikers. You can rent an e-bike from my neighbors. After returning from your adventures, there are several ponds in the valley where you can swim and cool off in a natural pool in a 6000 m2 garden of Tarczyna. Or just crash in one of the hammocks hanging in the shade of the plums.

What’s there for children?

My dogs and my cats will love your kids. Anyway, my dog will be happy to accompany them on a walk. My cat will show them how to steal their prey. There is enormous potential for your kids to spot a few deer or a fox. The number of bird species is amazing. The valley is famous for its owls. Birds of prey are always hunting outside the house. Swallows fly in and out of the barn. Even in the bar they nest and you can see parents feeding their young swallows. In the garden, trees that you can climb, build a hut, jump into the pool, bathe, the role of the hill, collect flowers, chase butterflies, and at night ... light a fire. Your baby will then sleep soundly and sweetly.

Klimat, piękno, spokój, atmosfera spokoju, zero pośpiechu, zwierzęta, lasy, blisko inne atrakcje zabytkowe i turystyczne... Polecam z czystym sercem! A! i jeszcze jedno: warto zamówić śniadanie i kolację! BOSKIE!

Wspaniałe miejsce ❤️ Organizowałam wyjazd dla 12 osób, wynajęłam apartament The Loft i The Arches - oba były piękne, ale 10-osobowy Loft przerósł moje najśmielsze oczekiwania!

Jedyna niedogodność w zimie to niska temperatura w apartamencie. Dlatego kolejne pobyty w Tarasie Tarczyn zaplanujemy w cieplejszych miesiącach. Polecamy to miejsce wszystkim miłośnikom wędrówek górskich, urokliwych pejzaży oraz pięknych wnętrz. Ewa i Paweł
