Kliczków may be small, but the forest next to it is huge. You can travel for miles on a bike and not even for a moment emerge on a country road. A lot has happened here over the centuries. The village was first mentioned in the 14th century, and even today there are families who have lived in these lands for over 400 years. They know the legends about the mansion we bought over two decades ago to restore it to its former glory.
Some say there is a treasure hidden here somewhere. Before the outbreak of the January Uprising, gold and jewelry were collected to buy weapons for the insurgents. Someone's grandfather sent to Siberia was supposed to sew a map leading to the missing valuables into his jacket. Others claim that during the uprising, a meeting of its commanders, including Traugutt, took place in the manor. And the conservation expertise we commissioned showed that the larch trees, the beams of which form the manor house from 1832, could have been planted even 500 years ago. They probably saw and know more than many inhabitants of the area.
If the colorful stories of this place are not enough to buy you, we will also tell you about the fabulous location. Larch Dworek stands on an island surrounded by a moat. One otter lives in the local lake, which diligently eats our fish, and there are wild beavers in the neighbourhood. Once you cross over to the island, we will host you up to 17 people in interiors full of gems: antique furniture and art. We will be a dream place for an intimate party, a family reunion in a royal atmosphere, and even a quiet wedding. You probably weren't looking for an island mansion for exclusive rental, but you know what they say about living like a box of chocolates. Hereby you have come across the tastiest praline in the Lodz region.
A wooden manor house from the early 19th century stands on an island with an area of 1 hectare. There is a pond and a 3-hectare park adjacent to it. Even though we are in the village of Kliczków Mały, you can count on peace and seclusion here. Kliczków is a very small and quiet village, and privacy is ensured by the moat around the manor house.

Delicious coffee and various types of teas will be waiting for you.
Eating here is as pleasant as cooking: in the dining room with a large table that can seat 14 (or even 16) people. It is possible to organize a separate table for children.
In the summer season, we recommend grilling in the garden. In autumn, you will find so many mushrooms in the surrounding forests that it would be a sin not to add them to scrambled eggs or aromatic tagliatelle with cream and parsley.
If you are also planning a vacation from cooking, Sieradz and its numerous restaurants are 20 km away. A few recommended ones are listed below.
Boredom is practiced in groups. We are on holiday for one large family, several friends or a group of friends we haven't seen for a long time. For an intimate party, a family reunion or a royal-themed birthday. An ideal place for a team-building trip, an intimate hen or stag party. Our manor house was already a place for intimate wedding receptions.
In and around the manor house there are places to spend time together, but also corners where you can retreat alone.
On site you can live courtly life like in scenes from movies based on Jane Austen's novels:
– read in armchairs or on a couch in the living room, by the fireplace,
- play the piano,
– spend time together at the large table in the dining room,
– take a walk in the park: watch birds, spy beavers, look at very old trees,
– spend time in the winter garden in spring, summer and autumn,
– have a barbecue in the garden, spread out and relax on the deckchairs,
– go fishing on the pier (fishing rods are provided),
– use the entertainment room: there is a ping-pong table and table football,
– go for a bike ride (we have 5 bikes waiting for you in the bike room).
We are surrounded by thousands of hectares of beautiful forests, perfect for cycling trips (you can ride dozens of kilometers along the local trails and not leave the forest the whole time), Nordic walking or walks, and in winter - cross-country skiing. In autumn, the surrounding forests are rich in mushrooms. We encourage you to harvest and use them in the kitchen!
For bathing enthusiasts: 15 km away there is the Trya swimming pool, 30 km - Zalew Jeziorsko, and 60 km - the year-round Termy Uniejów.
For lovers of historical curiosities: right next to it, an important battle of the January Uprising took place, commemorated locally with a monument (referring to the legend associated with the "generals' manor"), and in Kliczkowo Mały there is a beautiful wooden church from the 17th century. In nearby Sieradz (20 km) you can visit the historic the market square, next to it the District Museum (exhibitions on archaeology, history, art history and ethnography), Sieradz Ethnographic Park, among others. with the weaver's house and the farm of Szczepan Mucha, a folk sculptor, and in Tubądzin there is the Walewski Museum. You may also be interested in the Museum of Manor Interiors in Ożarów or the Palace in Małków with a good restaurant.
What’s there for children?
Although our adult children are less and less excited about country holidays, when they were younger, they had a great time here. First of all, there is nature around, kilometers of forests where you can go on trips, ride a bike, pick mushrooms and cones. There are deer to watch among the trees, beavers in lodges and this one otter that hunts fish in our pond. Here you can learn how to catch them, because there are fishing rods on site. You can walk a few hundred meters to the village to the playground, and play games or play with the toys that are waiting here. Nowhere is he playing hide and seek as well as in the old manor! Not to mention playing princesses, knights and historical battles.
Just take into account that the manor house is surrounded by a moat and is located on an island. We ask you to take care of the safety of children.
What’s there for employees?
It may be a 19th-century manor house, but the local fiber-optic internet is fit for the 21st century. You can easily work from here without worrying about losing your connection. Some rooms have desks that will make you feel like Hemingway in his office. You can also sit on one of the numerous armchairs in the living room.
A perfect place for an integration trip.
