Bronisław Piłsudski, an outstanding ethnologist and brother of Marshal Józef Piłsudski lived here before World War I. Tytus Chałubiński, Stanisław Witkiewicz and Henryk Sienkiewicz also paid this place a visit. And it all began with the great-great-grandfather, Professor Edward Kornistowicz, who bought and expanded the charming house in Bystrem in 1896. He loved the Tatra Mountains and in the interest of preserving the expansion of Zakopane in the Tatra valleys, he bought plots of land from highlanders looking to build on them. His son Tadeusz inherited his father's passion and proved himself as a nature protection activist, mountaineer, spearhead and mountain rescuer TOPR.

That's enough of history, now here's something for lovers of relaxing in unusual places.

The house is one of the oldest buildings in Zakopane. It is surrounded by a large garden that borders directly with the Tatra National Park. It smells of old wood, and the inside welcomes you with a bright, glass interior. You don't have to move from the sofa to feel that you arrived in the mountains. A large garden can be seen from the veranda as well as Giewont and Kasprowy Wierch in the distance. The sharp eye (with the help of binoculars) will see the lift on the Gąsienicowa route. Aged trees invite you to walk deeper into the garden, up to the borders of the Tatra National Park Lagoon. What you have here is beautiful meadows and glistening lights of lifts. An additional attraction of the garden is the historic Chapel, a drawing of Witkiewicz, which can be seen in full glory from ul. Karłowicz.

We invite everyone who is looking for history, the atmosphere of olden times, modern comfort or simply a place where children feel good. We hope that you will feel the special atmosphere that Sienkiewicz found here.

The house (80 m2) is built in traditional Zakopane architecture, made of wood. Inside you will find: two bedrooms and a living room with fold-out sofas, a bathroom and a well-equipped kitchen.

- living room: 2 sofa beds

Apart from its rich history, Korśmieowiczówka can boast a dishwasher, washing machine, and even an iron, should someone suddenly want to iron something.

Due to the nature of the place, please do not organize events at home.

We give you the house exclusively, which means that you cook yourself. There is no problem with getting groceries, the nearest shop is 300 meters from the house. But if you are not particularly eager to cook dinner, we recommend:

Korśmieowiczówka is located right next to the Tatra National Park and the very location means that there is no chance of boredom. Only 5 minutes by car / taxi is from here to Kuźnice (the bottom station of the Kasprowy Wierch cable car). A few steps away you can eat well (inn Marzanna, Restaurant Regionalna Nosalowy Dwór). There are also well-equipped grocery stores nearby.

- aqua park in Zakopane
- mass of kilometers to go

But if you are going to Zakopane, you probably know perfectly well that it is not boring.

We have prepared the house so that in case of bad weather it becomes an attraction itself. We have a very large garden, a fireplace and a grate for baking delicacies. A large hut among old trees will provide entertainment not only to the youngest. You will be fine here.

We have children ourselves, so we know what they need. Kids usually play in a large garden, climb trees, sit in a hut, use swings or toys at home. There are so many things happening in Zakopane that they come back home full of impressions and adventures. The mission of promoting love for the mountains usually succeeds in Korśmieowiczówka :)
