We both decided that the crazy rush of everyday life was enough and we moved to a beautiful quiet valley with a wonderful view in Štiavnické vrchy. Suddenly we became a part of nature, where doe, deer, wild boar and squirrels are our neighbors and where we watch birds of prey teaching their young to fly. As everyone admired the place where we live, we set ourselves a goal: to build a wooden house with our own hands so that others can also enjoy the beauty of nature. Few believed that we could do it, and indeed, sometimes we ran out of strength. We often worked from morning to evening, but in the end we managed to build the cottage ourselves in 11 months. We named it after the purple woodpecker - the largest species of bee in our country, which we just saw here for the first time. It is a diligent pollinator, harmless to the environment and a beautiful species to look at.
