Ewa: psychologist and young mother. Kris: builder and young father. A few years ago we returned from England to Poland permanently and wanted to buy a small studio apartment as an investment. While I was on holiday with my mother, Kris was driving around the surrounding villages looking for a place to invest our savings in. Quite by accident, he came across a distillery that was for sale for pennies. He called me with the joyful news that he had found 600 m2 for us. When he took me to the place after returning from holiday, I cried. Not from happiness at all. I was terrified by the amount of work and the fact that we would probably never go on holiday again, because every penny would end up in the distillery. My husband, on the other hand, was very enthusiastic and promised to take care of everything. As a builder, he renovated the building during breaks from other orders, on weekends and whenever he had free time. We dream of a mini guesthouse with a café open to everyone, serving pizza straight from the wood-fired oven. The apartment and the room are ready, and the café is waiting to open. Our Large Hall (Fireplace Hall) is ideal for parties or family gatherings. We have many plans, even more work. But what are goals for, if not for implementation.
