Moinho da Fadagosa
Agrotourism

No, this isn’t a scene from Narnia, and no fauns live in this cottage. A local heritage enthusiast from Portugal rescued this ruined hilltop mill after it had been untouched for a century. Today, guests are welcomed by Simon, a natural wine expert with a background in hospitality, and Fiona, a remote-working traveler in advertising. Inside, history blends with comfort—original mill machinery in the bedroom, a desk made from an old millstone, a sink repurposed from a stone chicken bath, and a shower that was once a cow trough.
Fancy a swim? Take a walk down to the river’s natural swimming spot—if you're lucky, you might spot an otter or a turtle. And at night? The sky lights up with stars, best enjoyed with a glass of local wine and a front-row seat to nature’s (free) spectacle.
