Monte da Palmeira
House

This isn’t One Thousand and One Nights, though it might as well be. Monte da Palmeira is all about whitewashed walls, bamboo ceilings, blue accents, and hand-painted plates, surrounded by gardens bursting with ruby-red pomegranates, sweet figs, and citrus trees. The biggest pleasure? Finding the perfect nook to unwind with a book or your favorite podcast.
There’s a stone pool, a big garden table, and a built-in grill that looks like an old fireplace. The house sleeps nine, offering both quiet corners for recharging and space for lively dinners under the stars. Cooking classes, private dinners by Chef Paula, and views you won’t want to leave are all part of the deal. But if you do crave a change of scenery, a 20-minute drive takes you to sandy beaches, while nearby hills lined with cork oaks and pines invite long hikes. You can also visit wineries, olive oil mills, and pottery workshops—your hosts will gladly share their best finds.
