Muzeum Dwór w Dołędze
Museum

The Manor Museum in Dołęga, one of the branches of the District Museum in Tarnów, is located in a wooden, originally larch, noble manor house, built in 1848 for its first owners: Maria and Aleksander Gunter.
The last owner of the manor and estate, Jadwiga Wolska Tumidajska, began efforts to create a museum out of her house in the 1970s. The manor house in Dołęga was opened to the public in 1981, after several years of renovation and conservation work.
The current interior design refers to the second half of the 19th century. The front part of the manor has representative functions: here, just like today, there was a living room, in the middle room there was a dining room, and next to it there was an office. The eastern wing of the manor was originally intended for bedrooms, while the western wing housed a kitchen and a pantry.
Historically, the manor is associated with events such as the peasant robbery of 1846, the January Uprising and World War II. At the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, the Krakow elite of Polish culture and science often visited the Dołęka manor: Adam Asnyk, Stanisław Wyspiański, Lucjan Rydel, prof. Michał Siedlecki and others.
During World War II, the manor actively participated in the resistance movement, and its last owner was a member of the Home Army. A few kilometers from the manor there was the "Motyl" airstrip, where the "Bridge II" and "Bridge III" operations were carried out, aimed at removing fragments of the V-2 rocket and related scientific studies from Poland.
The Manor Museum in Dołęga has a rich educational offer addressed to children and young people on topics related to its history. It is also known for the periodic classical music concerts organized here - a tradition started by curator Władysław Konieczny.
