Myśl Ceramika & Rej Artur Ceramika
Workshop / local craftsman
Hello, this is Joanna Magyar and Artur Rej.
We live and work in a more than 200-year-old settlement in Lower Silesia, at the junction of the Bóbr Valley and the Land of Extinct Volcanoes. This is our home, studio, and showroom – a space we have opened for those who want to see how we live and what we create.
For us, ceramics are a part of everyday life, but above all, a form of expression and craft. We create functional objects that, over time, become part of daily rituals.
In the showroom, you can not only see and purchase our works, but above all, experience them. Sit down, chat, sip tea, hold a vessel, and feel its weight, texture, form, and character.
Joanna specializes in functional ceramics – she primarily creates plates, bowls, cups, and mugs. Her works are designed for everyday use and are at home, as well as in cafés and restaurants.
In addition to ceramics, Joanna is a physiotherapist, a Tera Mai Reiki and Aroma Touch practitioner, and a passionate aromatherapy enthusiast. These interests naturally align with her approach to the body, the senses, and the simplicity of everyday life.
Artur is a tea lover and has dedicated his craft to it. He creates ceramics for preparing and drinking it – teapots, shiboridashi, gaiwans, bowls, hohinas, and matchawans.
In the showroom, you can enjoy high-quality tea and discuss its history and preparation methods. Selected teas, matcha, and accessories are also available on-site.
We live close to nature and strive to follow its rhythms. Artur cultivates a habitat and cultivates an edible garden in the spirit of permaculture, creating an ecosystem around the house that provides us with nourishment. Joanna combines ceramics with bodywork and scent.
Our showroom, therefore, naturally grew out of how we live and what is important to us.
We invite you to Bystrzyca – for a meeting, a conversation, pottery and a cup of tea.
How will you find us?
