Toruń Rafters invite you to Toruń on the Vistula!
We are part of the Free Vistula Foundation. We have been sailing on the Vistula in Toruń since 2014. Thanks to the river, we have met wonderful people, we have discovered unknown (but colorful) parts of our country and most importantly - we have developed a taste for spending time slowly by the river. We realized that there is a lot to be done in the field of popularizing the Vistula, its nature and related crafts. In order to promote a slow way of being by the Vistula, to promote a Vistula free from dangers, the Free Vistula Foundation was established in 2018.
We organize various cruises on the Vistula, which take place on traditional wooden boats such as bat and bull. We organize these cruises mainly in Toruń and its surroundings, and we adapt their program to your needs. We offer both short tourist trips that allow you to admire the beauty of the area, as well as more extensive sightseeing routes, ideal for lovers of history and nature.
We can invite you, for example, on a birdwatching cruise or a cruise to the west. The Vistula Valley near Toruń is one of the most valuable natural places in Poland. It is a habitat for many species of birds, including those that are difficult to access in other parts of the country. Thanks to the knowledge and passion of our guides, you will get to know the world of wildlife from a completely new perspective. Each cruise is unique - the helmsmen choose the route depending on the season and the habits of the animals to ensure the best conditions for observation.
We sail from the second half of April until the end of October, which means that our sailing season lasts over half a year.
Our fleet consists of six unique, wooden Vistula boats. These are reconstructions of traditional units, such as the baty and the bull, which once dominated the Vistula.
We invite you to the boats :)
