Cudne Manowce
Restaurant

We have something for those hungry for the cuisine of Warmia and Mazury.
You don't have to go far, we invite you to the center of Olsztyn, where for 13 years we have been feeding those hungry for regional flavors. The name of the restaurant "Cudne manowce" was taken from a poem by Stachura, and we are located not just anywhere, but on the medieval defensive walls of Olsztyn.
Our menu consists of traditional Polish dishes, with particular emphasis on the cuisine of Warmia and Mazury. Most recipes come from historical literature and our own culinary research. We have a large selection of flatbreads. We make sourdough from rye and einkorn flour from Bosy Chłop, without using yeast, and the additions that we find on the flatbreads come only from Warmia and Mazury from local suppliers.
The menu also includes lamb and goose dishes, which used to be more popular in our region than it is today. In spring and summer, look for herring cold soup on our menu, which is a Lenten dish from the Lubawa area, and young nettle soup. Local preserves reign supreme in Cudne Manowce at any time of year.
We also took on the challenge of recreating witches' ointment. Legend has it that on St. John's night, they rubbed themselves with an ointment with hallucinogenic herbs and had so-called trips. We guarantee one trip, the taste one. That's exactly what we want, to not only serve food in the restaurant, but also tell the history of the region through the prism of the product.
We invite you :)
