When five years ago we stood in a meadow that led to two wooden cottages in a green carpet, I thought that this is what the illustrations of the most beautiful fairy tales for children look like. Fog hanging over the grass, a glint of sunlight on the pond, magic in the air. The place cast a spell on us and we bought a homestead from the beginning of the last century. Buying the homestead was not easy, however - we had to become farmers, get permission from the KOWR, wait a few months for decisions. Ropienka made us familiar with the term "eternal renovation", rubber boots, a lawn mower, but also with the fact that time flows slower and more beautifully here. That you don't need a TV or the Internet to relax. That the air can smell good, and you can wake up after a night rested. And that there are millions of stars in the sky, which we promised ourselves to count someday. Because we have time. Although we don't live in Ropienka permanently, we are drawn here at any time.
