Introducing the first glamping site in the Low Beskids! The Western Carpathians bow low, pointing to green expanses with views of the hills.
Here we have Mongolian yurts and full access to nature. Light comes in overhead, goes out at night, then you can watch the stars from your bed. The air here is amazing - Napoleon's soldiers came to Wapienne for air and water, and it usually did them good. Now it does us and our guests good. Drop in if you like the very thin walls between you and Mother Nature.
You will sleep in a yurt. But not an ordinary one, but a fully equipped one. You can sleep on the mezzanine with a skylight, from where you can admire the beautiful starry sky. At the bottom there is a Belgian-type sofa (double mattress). The yurt has a bathroom, kitchenette and terrace. So everything you need :)
Since the yurt has a kitchenette, you can decide what you eat. However, if you feel like it, we invite you for breakfast and lunch in the main building :).
What we eat and how we prepare it are of great importance to us. We have always eaten the highest quality home-made products and preserves, made by our parents and grandparents. Accustomed to home-made quality, we serve such meals to our guests.
We bake homemade bread and make homemade cold cuts, sausages, preserves and liqueurs. We also use what the surrounding nature gives us: herbs, blackthorn, elderflower and sea buckthorn. We draw inspiration for our dishes from various traditions, including local ones. Here you can taste both traditional Polish cuisine, such as venison roast, as well as more modern cuisine, such as cream of pumpkin soup. We also have our own original recipes, such as dumplings with venison and wild garlic, which are very popular among our guests.
Buczynowa Dolina is located in the buffer zone of the Magura National Park. We have a network of trails leading through the park's attractions (including the green trail to the Kornuty rock reserve, one of the biggest attractions of the National Park, and the black trail leading to the Diabli Kamień reserve and the Magurski Waterfall).
Our library includes maps and guides that will prevent you from getting lost on the trails, and we ourselves provide advice and will be happy to suggest where to go on a trip.
Our area was inhabited largely by Lemkos. The remains of them are Lemko huts, the so-called chyże located in the town, and beautiful Lemko churches scattered around the immediate area.
The area of the village is a pristine beech forest with many protected species of animals and plants. Wapienne is a paradise for naturalists, mushroom pickers and wildlife lovers. The area is an ideal place for practicing all kinds of sports and organizing outdoor events (e.g. photography, painting, etc.). What else?
We recommend sledding, apple sledding and whatever else you want (there is a perfect hill behind our house for this),
- you can go skiing (we recommend the Magura Ski Station),
- in the "Wapienne" health resort, located very close to our house, there is an open swimming pool during the holidays, where you can go with the whole family,
- we encourage you to go on expeditions to Orthodox churches along the Wooden Architecture Trail or go along the Oil Trail,
- we recommend visiting the Carpathian Troy Archaeological Open-Air Museum,
- there is a stud farm nearby, so we recommend horse riding for advanced riders, but it is also a good reason to finally try horse riding for the first time (Hutsul Horse Stud "Gładyszów").
What’s there for children?
We are a place friendly to children and parents of toddlers. Therefore, just in case, we have prepared:
- a cot
-yoke
-commission, overlay
- a bathtub
-feeding chair (two pieces available in the dining room)
-plastic cutlery and plates on request
And for kids, we have a lot of interesting things to do, and it's all beautiful and unusual, which comes from a bit of country boredom without a tablet.
