Szalka is a year-round micro-house, only 28 m2, suspended on a high wooden platform in the Kłodzko Valley. It has no fancy design, it is simply a wooden house for lovers of simplicity and the Kłodzko Valley. We invite to it mainly couples who dream of the romanticism of a wooden house, but there will also be enough space for kids. We invite you!
Szalka is no longer a micro-home. This year, for your convenience, we added an additional glass-enclosed bedroom with a fireplace. It is located 50 meters from our second guest house, Szalejówka, and 200 meters from our house. Our only neighbor is a farming cooperative, from which you can hear the sound of tractors in the summer. We sleep wonderfully here, as we are located in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by fields and forests. We have an abundance of fresh air, grazing deer, scurrying hares, and shooting stars – we'd be happy to share all of this with you.
There are two bedrooms at your disposal: the first on the ground floor, with large windows, an automatic pellet fireplace, a bed with a 160 cm mattress, and the second on the mezzanine, with a bed with two 80 cm mattresses joined together, and a fold-out sofa in the mezzanine area. The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom with a shower. The terrace, suspended on a platform, allows for a lazy morning spent with coffee, reading in a hammock, or grilling. In winter, the cottage is heated by the latest, energy-efficient, high-power hybrid heaters (convection and infrared), so even the most chilly will be comfortable.
We leave at your disposal a kitchen equipped with an induction cooktop, dishwasher, electric kettle, microwave, toaster, refrigerator, espresso machine, as well as pots, bowls, frying pans, plates, cutlery, glasses, and mugs. In short, everything you need to prepare a delicious meal.
Polanica-Zdrój and Kłodzko offer a wide selection of restaurants. We especially recommend:
- The restaurant at the Korona Hotel in Kłodzko, where you'll enjoy delicious steaks, soups, burgers, ribs—in short, French elegance.
- La Nonna Restaurant in Polanica-Zdrój for Italian flavors.
- Polskie Smaki Restaurant in Polanica-Zdrój for smoked salmon and trout tartare, sauerkraut soup, pumpkin and oscypek cheese salad, and steaks. - The Złota Rybka Tavern, which doesn't look impressive, but they know how to prepare fish.
- There are numerous and popular milk bars in Kłodzko, our favorite is Kryształowa, as well as Raj Smakosza and Pyza Kłodzka.
Boring for puds is not our thing. You can ride on numerous bicycle trails and cross-country ski in winter. For explorers - a search for the 10 faces of the Kłodzko Valley, there are also a lot of monuments, natural monuments, observation towers, shelters, rope parks, fortresses, castles and palaces. Directly behind the fence you can meet a deer and a hare, you can also listen to birds and observe the larger ones in the sky, of which there are many.
In summer, after morning coffee with a beautiful view of the valleys, it's time for a walk with a basket. You can find mushrooms, flowers for a wreath or a wild bouquet. In winter, skiing, snowboarding, throwing snowballs, and swimming in the nearby river.

Rafting starts in Ławica, it is best to book in advance. Remember to book in advance, especially when going to the Bear Cave, the gem of the Kłodzko Valley.
For families with children, our second place will be suitable - max. 6-seater Szalejówka, fenced with a fence, so you can safely let the children go and let them have fun on the large playground with a slide, trampoline and swings.
