We believe that what we plant, we will harvest, and in Ląd, we plant lavender, good energy and peace, which can’t be found in the urban jungle. We invite you to Warta because it's worth it to see the sun rising behind the Cistercian monastery and for the sunset which illuminates the unusual meadows of the Warta River, for kayaking on the wild meaders, for the bird radio that plays every morning, for the taste of lavender lemonade on a hot summer day, for mornings covered with fog, and the sky covered with stars.
We are not a hotel or a guest house. We have the most intimate guest house in this part of Greater Poland. We have one cosy apartment that’s ideal for a couple or even a family of five. There is a separate entrance, kitchenette and dining table, bright bathroom with shower, work corner and a place to relax with a book. Enjoy mornings with breakfast made with love and coffee with lavender syrup.
Outside the window, fields of lavender sway, in June, purple flowers burst with fragrance, just beyond the river, the Central Warta Valley is visible far and wide, and the heart of Warta Landscape Park pulsates with wildlife. We cordially invite landscape painting enthusiasts, lovers of peaceful sounds, nature watchers, walkers and cyclists, admirers of Slavic culture and all those who want to slow down and live life in the slow lane.
You can enjoy the summer smell of our plantation year-round. Did we convince you?
Our Lavender Land is intimate. There is literally one brand new, comfortable, large room (42 m2 + bathroom) with landscape views waiting for you, perfect for two (although it can accommodate 3 adults or parents with two children, or even a baby - we have a small bed and a table and chair for him). ). The room is an independent part of our house, with a separate entrance. So we can pass each other and meet, but we won't bother each other.
The room consists of several corners:
- A mini cloakroom is located right next to the entrance. Here you can hang your outerwear, put away your suitcases and shoes.
- Bedroom corner with a double bed, next to it are bedside tables, a bench and a spacious wardrobe with a large mirror. The equipment also includes large and small towels.
- In the lazy corner you will find a spacious sofa, a chaise longue (both with a sleeping function) and a small coffee table. The wall shelf next to the sofas is a library of board games and books.
- A secretary with a work chair and a dressing table, TV with Wi-Fi access.
- The fireplace corner allows you to warm up and relax on autumn and winter evenings.
- A bright bathroom with a shower, a large washbasin, a mirror and a toilet is separated from the room by a small corridor - and all three rooms constitute one complex. You don't have to bring your own hair dryer, as two are provided. We will also lend you an ironing board and an iron, and we will not refuse to use the washing machine if necessary.
The temperature inside is regulated by air conditioning, radiators and a fireplace.
At your disposal are also deckchairs, garden armchairs/chairs, a seating area under a shelter, outdoor chess, badminton, volleyball and boules equipment. And for an additional fee: a place for a bonfire, 2 bicycles.
As for a real house with flesh and blood, we serve breakfast from the heart and to your heart's content. However, please let us know if you decide to do so no later than three working days before the start of your stay. If you have specific dietary preferences or food allergies, let us know and we will try to meet them. Other meals are not on the menu, but we will be happy to advise you what to eat and where to buy in the area.
The room has a Gourmet Corner with a large, round table made of warm, oiled wood, around which you can sit on designer chairs. This is where we serve breakfasts, which we bring to your room every morning. You can also prepare your own meals on the induction cooker. The tableware is placed on the shelves of a small sideboard, and in the kitchen drawers there are pots, cutlery, towels and cloths. The equipment is complemented by a cooker hood, a sink and a refrigerator.
For lunches, desserts, and suppers from May 1 to September 30, you can go to the "Lavender porch" bistro, just 100 meters from us, at the "Marina Ląd" river marina.
Throughout the year, in the neighboring towns of Zagórów (5 km) or Słupca (10 km) you will find numerous pizzerias and small restaurants. We especially recommend the "Centrum" restaurant and the "Zapiecek", "Cameleon" and "Apetito" pizzerias. Those who like eastern dishes can enter "TUnaSushi" or "Oriental".
For fresh vegetables and fruits, go to the fair. On Wednesdays and Saturdays at the market square in Zagórów and every Tuesday and Friday in Słupca.
There is time for boredom, for walks, for canoes, for badminton, for a fire and for discovering history. Everything at a very slow pace “largo”, because we are in no hurry here on the Warta River. Make yourself comfortable in our garden and the lavender field. For a few weeks at the turn of June and July, guests are enveloped in the scent of fresh flowers on lavender fields, among which it is worth spreading a blanket or a deckchair and inhaling the relaxing aroma of essential oils with a book in your hand, as well as having a photo session. In the remaining months, you will find the lavender color and scent in our handicraft shop and you will be able to learn the secrets of growing these plants, and during the workshops, learn how to weave wreaths or paint lavender bags, bake lavender cookies or gingerbread.
Avid chess players will use garden chess, and amateurs of team sports can play badminton and volleyball or boule on the grassy field. You can rent bikes from us and use the bonfire and grill places for an individually agreed additional fee, under which we provide, for example, wooden logs and long, focal sticks for baking sausages, grill fuel, etc.
It is in the ice-marginal valley that hide bicycle paths and educational and nature paths, vast meadows and dune forests with a wealth of animal and plant species. This unusual landscape is crossed by the blue-gray ribbon of the Warta River. On a daily basis, it attracts numerous anglers, and for the more active, it offers canoeing adventures on the river trail.
What’s there for children?
Children silently observe insects on lavender bushes, discover the secrets of nearby ruins and manors, and participate in the historical events of the region with interest. They are canoeists, gardeners, treasure hunters and naturalists. With binoculars, they look for new species of birds. They can also learn how to weave wreaths or paint decorations on lavender bags, if their parents give them a lavender workshop. They have time for everything, break away from phones and absorb every moment spent with their parents.
