Dębosze - Chata w Puszczy Białowieskiej

In the Forest! Dębosze are two wooden, comfortable houses built in accordance with Podlasie architecture, located in a clearing surrounded by a forest. There are reserves and the Białowieża Forest nearby. We estimate the probability of encountering a wild animal on a walk to be quite high. The cottages themselves are houses with soul, which we have arranged to be comfortable and pleasing to the eyes. Each house is divided into: Living part, consisting of: - fully equipped kitchen; - a large table for 12 people with benches; - fold-out sofa; - toilets. Bedroom area: Apartment No. 1: - with a large double bed (180 cm wide); - a beautiful tiled stove; - windows on both sides of the bed, so that you can fall asleep and wake up with a view of the forest; - a large bathroom with a shower cabin. We sometimes rent the ground floor apartment to couples for romantic trips for two (then we do not rent the first floor) - if you are interested in this option, please write to us. You have a beautiful, well-equipped kitchen with a tiled stove at your disposal. You will find an electric stove, a refrigerator, a coffee machine with a grinder and all the necessary pots, pans and utensils. You can also order breakfast from us. We will feed you delicious, ecological and local food - fresh bread, cheese, cold meats, and something sweet. You can also buy the products from which our breakfasts are made from us. These are homely, local products of our production. We offer (after prior ordering): - rye bread made of organic sourdough flour baked in a tiled oven, - country eggs from happy hens, - goat and cow milk, - cottage cheese, - own production of Korycin cheeses with various herbs (wild garlic, dried tomatoes, fenugreek), - meats smoked with alder wood, - raspberry juices, jams, preserves, cucumbers in jars, pickled mushrooms, - homemade dumplings made of spelled flour (with cheese, with meat, Russian, with cabbage and mushrooms, with seasonal berries), - potato cake with mushroom sauce, - syrups from dandelion, elderberry flowers, pine shoots. The products do not contain preservatives or other harmful chemicals and are exclusively local. Among the nearby pubs, we recommend Bar u Jana in Dubicze Cerkiewne - you can eat there the specialties of Podlasie cuisine. 15 km from Ostoja there is the Leśny Dworek restaurant offering delicious kartacze. We also recommend a fantastic pizzeria run by a couple from Naples - in addition to pizza from a wood-fired oven, they serve delicious tiramisu, good coffee, salads and, of course, Italian pasta.

On site, you can soak up the charm of the surrounding nature in at least several different ways. You can use 3 sets of Nordic walking poles and 2 bicycles (with a child's chair and a trailer). There are bicycle trails right next to the cottage. There are plenty of hiking trails and several educational paths in the area. We will be happy to advise you what to choose. 300 meters from the house there is a clearing where you can meet the king of the forest - the bison. On the way you pass several natural monuments - majestic oak trees. Ostoja Dębosze is also a great place for ornithological observations (hoopoes often visit us) and to admire the night sky (in August you can see the Perseids from here). A dozen or so kilometers from the cottage, there are two reservoirs where you can go on hot days - Bachmaty and Repczyce. You can kayak on the nearby Narewka River (we organize kayaking trips). We recommend the gems of Podlasie architecture: the charming Orthodox church in Dubicze Cerkiewne and the (no less charming) one in Werstok, which is over 250 years old. In Hajnówka it is worth seeing the St. Cathedral. Trinity and the Park of Miniatures and Monuments of Podlasie. We provide advice when planning trips. If you want, we will also put you in touch with experienced guides in the strict reserve and with a company that rents kayaks. In our clearing you can read in a deckchair or look at the sky on a hammock. There is also a picnic blanket, so there will certainly be plenty of room for collective lazing. In the summer season (July-August) we set up a swimming pool outside. In the house you will find board games, puzzles, a small library, guides and maps of the region. We also invite you to a session in the Ruska Banya (included in the price of your stay; you will get everything you need to relax there: banyan towels, woolen hats, birch twigs, essential oils, salt scrub, and after the session, a herbal infusion for relaxation). On request, we also offer professional massages (it is worth combining them with a ritual in Ruska Banya). We especially recommend the extremely pleasant and relaxing Japanese Facial Massage.
