We believe that balance is in the forest because only trees can still save us. So if you are looking for real regeneration of your soul, tired of the big city rush, let Dr Swierk take care of you. Building a treehouse was our big dream, and since we don't like mediocrity, our implementation had to be up to par with the very best. It is 100% our pride and joy. Our treehouse is actually on two trees, and not just any trees, because on huge spruces, which remember when a German ploughed this Masurian land. It's not a treehouse in name only, standing stably on poles, with an odd little birch sticking out of the terrace like an ugly model. Have you ever seen the works of Pit Nelson? We have - all of them. We've read all his books, we've looked at everything on the internet, we've learned all the hashtags with the #treehouse slogan, and we've spent 4 years of informal studies on the subject. We know all the Polish and most foreign projects, and we assure you that you won't rent a better treehouse in the country on the Vistula river. Dr Swierk is part of some larger puzzle, which we started in 2016 with the renovation of a small red brick house, whose ugly communist extension we turned into a sweet wooden house called Modry Ganek. We live on the ground floor ourselves and rent out two comfortable flats to guests in the attic. The treehouse is located a dozen metres behind the house, in an old orchard. So if you are looking for glamping in the middle of the jungle, it is not here, but if you like an interesting place to stay, and at the same time sit down to a richly set table, try new tastes and chat with your host about rye sourdough, you are all invited!

Here Slowhop will describe your place

Host:
Agnieszka
In the beginning, was the Word. The Word came to dwell among us, and we decided to exchange a big, comfortable house in the Masurian wilderness and a suburban life for an old, ruined farm in the forest and a life in a slow rhythm. We paid off our credit and tossed several hundred kilograms of unnecessary things, and moved into a caravan for half a year, together with a child, two cats and a pack of dogs and horses waiting at the door of the caravan. In two and a half years, we tackled a major renovation on a pocket-sized budget and made a place to live on the ground floor for ourselves and two flats for you in the attic of a pre-war house. We know every board and every brick because we did everything with our own hands. We have many ideas and no money to implement them, but a lot of resourcefulness and creativity, so little by little, we are carving out our place on earth, rejoicing in the freedom given to us.

Let those who have never dreamed of a tree house be the first to cast a stone. Probably everyone has dreamed of it, but not everyone will find their way in this adventure. Once we have established that the house is really in a tree, we invite you for more emotions. And these will probably be provided by the fact that it sways along with the trees on which it is placed. Not everyone has to like it, especially on a windy night. Not everyone will like the fact that during a storm or gale they will have to get down from a tree, or maybe even sleep in an alternative place if hurricane Eugeniusz hits them. Remember - this is a real tree house, not a dummy on poles! The more pleasant news is that on the 10 m2 base you will find a living room, kitchenette, bathroom with full sanitary facilities and a bedroom on the mezzanine. For the same amount, you can dance under the open sky on a terrace covered with the branches of huge, several-meter-high spruce trees. Treat yourself to a glamping experience, i.e. luxury camping. The space is tiny and requires functioning like in a caravan, but we made sure it was exceptional - a top-shelf mattress, a full-size shower, heating with air conditioning function, and even the possibility of preparing a meal yourself with access to a refrigerator and a stove. If you like tourist (and I emphasize tourist) de luxe atmosphere, this is an option for you. In the warm season, you also have a barn at your disposal, where you can chill, play board games or guitar, exercise, and shelter from the rain or heat. We are also launching summer cinema this season. In addition, we also have a summer kitchen with a recreational space, which on summer Saturdays turns into an intimate bistro, also open to outside guests, where Marek serves regional specialties from what we grow in the garden. We finished the house mostly with recycled materials, spending weeks sanding and painting old, abandoned boards and windows, which gives it an amazing atmosphere. However, all equipment is new, high-end, which provides a lot of comfort and safety. We rent the treehouse from May to October.

What will I eat?

Go to photo editor Photo edit

Translated by Google Translate.
What you will definitely not miss here is bread. We converted an old hen house into a Bread House, where the host bakes the most exquisite breads in the region and sells them locally here and there, and of course always has a stock under the counter. Marek really knows all kinds of gastronomy, and cooking at our place was like taking notes at university. You take notes because you don't like learning from others, and then you don't know when - you take notes for your entire year. And so we didn't leave the kitchen for 4 seasons. Marek cooking and Agnieszka cleaning. We ran out of time for life - that's why we moved here, so we learned a bit of assertiveness. We try to respond to the needs of our guests and cook when they want to eat, but sometimes we take time off from cooking to, for example, finish work in the garden or take the children for ice cream. So don't be angry if it happens that you eat dinner with us only 4 times during your week-long stay. However, every day you can count on a breakfast prepared by Marek, except on Fridays when the host bakes bread from dawn, but then we will offer you a basket of local products for your own consumption. If you prefer to cook yourself, it will be real fun in our summer kitchen. We have a brick grill here and even a wood-burning stove. Sometimes we become a happy gathering and everyone prepares their own delicacy, and then there is a spontaneous feast and we sit as equals, and then we clean up together and we feel like one big family. The exception is Saturdays, when Marek takes over the summer kitchen and serves local specialties to all weary travelers, try it too! Meals prepared by us are charged additionally: breakfast - PLN 35/person dinner - from PLN 60/person depending on the dish breakfast basket of local products - the price depends on the content you compose yourself

You can be sure that the singing of birds and the gentle swaying of the tree do not want to get bored at all. You can sit and listen, smell and watch all day long. However, if you use strong will and decide against yourself to come down from the tree, you can, for example, visit our horses. You can also get a massage by choosing a place in a tree, under a tree, under a bush, in a barn, in a meadow and wherever you like. We can provide you with bikes and indicate the coolest routes, and there are a lot of them on the Dylewskie Hills. And if you prefer to walk instead of pedaling, we will show you where to get lost, to meet the moose, see how Drwęca starts and how the black stork lives.

For safety reasons and due to the size of the house, it is a place for adults only. However, this is not a place where there will be no children on the farm. They will definitely be ours, and there may also be children of other guests of our Agrotourism "Modry Ganek".

Here Slowhop will describe what’s there for children. If you want, you can also fill it in or edit the text.

Świetne miejsce żeby się wyciszyć. Bardzo sympatyczni i pomocni Gospodarze. Szansa na spróbowanie lokalnych produktów. Bardzo polecam!

Spaliśmy 2 dni prawdziwem domku na drzewie. Świetny pomysł i wykonanie, zadbano o każdy szczegół.
