When the surveyor saw the design of our dream house, he said: "There has never been such an ugly thing in Szczyrk before". We laughed and considered it a good omen. We love Szczyrk, because we learned to ski here from an early age, and one of us was even born here. Now we live in Łódź, but all the time we are drawn to the Beskid Żywiecki. About 2 years ago, standing up to our calves in the snow, an idea came to us. We dreamt of a house in the mountains, different from all others, one that we would like to live in ourselves. It was the beginning of a long road, the end of which we are looking forward to right now. The place where it stood is magical, so the house itself could not ruin the effect. The house had to fit in with the surroundings and not get lost in the maze of local buildings. It is here now, so we can share with you this ugliest, prettiest house in Szczyrk.
Why Krańcówka? Because it perfectly describes this place. When you reach the end of the road leading from the centre of Szczyrk, Krańcówka appears before your eyes. A place with a view that you selfishly want to keep only for yourself. The house is surrounded from two sides by forest, and it lies in the accompaniment of a mountain stream, which you can hear perfectly well when sitting on the terrace, sipping your morning coffee. In the woven armchairs or on the private cableway installed next to it. After the chairlift to Skrzyczne was renovated, the iconic slowest chairlift in Poland remained. We managed to get hold of one and now a piece of this history has come to stay with us for good. No fear of heights, no swaying. You can read a book here, listen to the sound of water, absorb the scent of the mountains. For the curious, we also offer the familiar deer, which come down to the edge of the forest in the morning and parade across our lawn in search of the treats we leave them. At home, you'll find a bag of nuts which three local squirrels, regulars on the terrace, come to collect. And when you miss civilisation, within 10 minutes you will be at the lower station of a gondola going up to Małe Skrzyczne - after all, Szczyrk is also the capital of winter sports.
We invite families with children, enthusiasts of uncontrolled boredom, amateurs of ski touring and fans of crazy bicycle trips. See Szczyrk from above. This is how it looks best.

Hello! Half of our marriage comes from Szczyrk, even though we live in Łódź. We like backpacking and exploring the world, and we love skiing. Hence, Szczyrk has always held a special place in our hearts. The house came to our minds a few years ago, but only recently have we managed to turn our dreams into reality. It's amazing how you can transfer something from your imagination to the real world. Now our wonderful mountain home can welcome hikers, skiers, boredom seekers and sports freaks. We share it with you, and we are very happy about it. You are welcome.
