It is always a long way to Mostowice. From almost every perspective, this village lies at the end of the world. About 480 km from Warsaw, 340 km from Poznań, 587 km from Gdańsk, 315 km from Kraków and 128 km from the nearby Wrocław. However, the urge to escape the city was really strong, and it was from the capital of Lower Silesia that brought us to Wzgórze Owiec (Sheep Hill), 300 metres from the Czech border, where there is no Polish cell coverage and poor internet. The population of the village is also modest. Fourteen people live here, and there are four of us, so we strongly represent Mostowcians.

First, there was the name because we called it Wzgórze Owiec, but there was no sign of woollies. Eight months after the move, the main characters appeared. In the beginning, we didn't know anything about sheep, all we knew was that we had to choose a variety that would feel comfortable in our mountain conditions. We chose the original Bergschaf breed (Tyrolean mountain sheep) and the Olkuska breed, which are characterised by their hardiness and friendly nature. Our sheepdogs are real tough guys. They can wade through 1,5 metres of snow, they are not afraid of rain or sun. We take care of them the best we can, we give them names, we give them haircuts, and they thank us with their sweetness.

If the city has given you a hard time and you miss the silence, feeding your eyes with the green, blue and fluffy woollies, we invite you to our windy hill. Into the doorstep of a barn, to the smallest guest house in the world. We have an apartment for you with a separate entrance, across the wall from our hosts, in close proximity to a sheepfold, a henhouse, the Orlické and Bystřice Mountains. From the top, we have truly picturesque views. Czech pastures where cows, horses and sheep graze. In the morning mists, we can see roe deer nibbling on our meadow, and there are supposedly wolves in the area, although we haven't seen them yet. Luckily, because our herd would be in danger.

We invite you to a mini agrotourism almost abroad, where we welcome all seekers of the end of the world with open arms.

We are on-site, we give our guests space and intimacy, but we're always ready to help

The story about us is not simple and a fairy-tale because our dreams and new ideas require us to learn, put in the effort and roll up our sleeves non-stop. We come from Wroclaw, that's where we met, studied, worked and raised our son Hubert. However, we have reached the point that we are fed up with the city, that it has ceased to entertain us. Commuting, driving back and forth, standing in traffic jams. The fact that we don't see each other and have no time for each other. We started spending weekends outside the city and ended up in the Mostowice area. It was wonderful. And that's how the idea of living far from the city was born. So we found a plot of land on a hill, almost at the village's highest point, with a view that makes your jaw drop. There is literally nothing in the area. We have one weekend neighbour, and the rest of the village is set back from the main road below. Here we built two barns in a year - one for you and me, the other serving as a workshop. After a few months, a sheepfold and its woolly inhabitants also appeared. This year the hill was also inhabited by chickens and a rooster named Turkey. Between looking after the lambs, their mums, the rest of the flock, the two children and welcoming guests, we bake bread, make jam and go mushroom picking. You are warmly invited to join us for sheep therapy.

Jedno z najbardziej klimatycznych miejsc w jakich mieliśmy okazję być na Dolnym Śląsku. Idealne do odpoczynku w odosobnieniu.

Odpoczęłyśmy i naładowałyśmy baterie. Gospodarze bardzo sympatyczni i pomocni. Wspaniałe ręcznie robione owieczki <3 <3 <3 Polecamy! Ola i Magda

Pozdrawiamy, D & A.
