There is such a magical place in Krakow, a few steps from the zoo, in Lasek Wolski. It has edible chestnuts, planted by a famous artist in the 1950s, there is also a 19th-century building with a secret garden full of organic vegetables, and a guesthouse, filled with the art of former farmers. Artists, painters and writers used to visit this place, Stanisław Lem loved it, seeing his native Lviv here somewhere. He talked about our house and its hosts in the following way: "In Przegorzały there was a beautiful, large, old orchard with apple trees, which still gave birth to a lot of apples. From the north, the Burtanów orchard borders the Wolski Forest, where the Krakow zoo is located. We used to go there to collect fur from shedding bison for Romek Husarski's mother, and she made sweaters from it."
And now wonderful people come here, and no less wonderful hosts try to feed them with dignity and provide hospitality, contact with art, which there is still plenty of and healthy rest. We invite you to Ekosamotnia * on the edge of Lasek Wolski in Krakow.
* the season runs from April to the end of October

It's my turn... I have the great pleasure of running this beautiful and intimate guesthouse, which was given a new lease of life in 2013 by my parents. Of course, they continue to do everything they can to improve the surroundings and maintain its splendour.
Ekosamotnia is a building commemorating the work of the late Helena and Roman Husarski, where you'll find numerous unconventional works – giving the interiors a unique atmosphere. Furthermore, we are filled with a love for animals and nature.
We are the only farm in southern Poland that cultivates a chestnut plantation. We organize an open weekend in October during which you can sample roasted chestnuts, try our baked goods, or buy chestnuts by the pound!
We want to share our unique, forest paradise with you. We invite you!
