From West Altai to Great Chingan, it's just the home we call glamping. Modern European nomads expect comfort, hence glam, but also like to rest in nature, so a combination with camping. It was from the Mongolian and Turkish peoples that we borrowed yurts. Year-round tents where you can watch the stars from the bedside, cook not only in Asian style and rest in a harmonious 5-person group. The only difference is that the doors of the Mongolian yurt face south, the Kazakh door facing the east, and ours facing the Jizera.
The 3 colorful houses are situated at the end of a large plot, right next to the pond and at a safe distance from our house. They have a view of the Izera Foothills with the ruins of the Gryf Castle and the chapel hill of the von Schaffgotsch family in Proszówka. So, on the one hand, we have the Izery, and on the other, forests, fields, meadows and hills. In the back, our guest house, Dom w Home. The 200-year-old silk weavers' house, where we invite you for breakfast, for parties by the fireplace and for dispelling boredom in the library. You can also cut off absolutely and, in the company of the Dark Sky of the Jizera Mountains, cook on your own, wander around, read on the terrace and watch the stars through a telescope.
Take your hiking boots and off you go. Izerbaijan is waiting, we are waiting.
HIT! This summer, from June 26th to August 29th, a package of ACTIVITIES and WORKSHOPS for children and adults!
In the Jizera Foothills, overlooking Stóg, in Mongolian yurts with truly European furnishings. Three cottages with private access to the stars are located on the same large plot as our "Dom w domu" guesthouse. At the end of the plot, by a pond, overlooking the Jizera Mountains. The distance from the house is safe enough that we won't get in each other's way, yet pleasant enough that you can drop in for breakfast in your slippers in the morning. We cordially invite you.
For your body and soul, the intimate SPA is available: a dry (traditional) sauna, a steam bath, an open-air jacuzzi on the terrace, and a chill-out relaxation area. The spa is available every evening and is included in the price. The green yurt (J2) and the blue yurt (J3) have a private, year-round jacuzzi on the terrace. Enjoy it whenever you like during your stay!
Each yurt sleeps four people plus a child. The configuration is entirely up to you, but it's best to be a cohesive team, as there's nothing to hide in a yurt. Each cabin has the same layout, differing only in décor, so choose the one that suits you best. You can choose from red, green, or blue. Each yurt measures 35m² and has a large terrace in front of it.
In the center of the yurts, under a glass roof, sits a 180x200 double bed with a view of the sky, while against the wall sits a sturdy bunk bed, also suitable for adults (the lower and upper bunks each weigh up to 120kg). The mattresses are natural, eco-friendly Japanese futons, ensuring a very good night's sleep.
You'll also find a modern bathroom with a shower and an equipped kitchenette, a large table with chairs, two comfortable armchairs with a coffee table, a chest of drawers with shelves and hangers, a shelf, and under-bed storage for suitcases. Towels, bed linen, coffee, and tea are provided.
For the evening, a home cinema awaits – a projector with an Android TV and a screen measuring almost 2.5x1.5m. Log in to your streaming accounts and enjoy a movie with popcorn :) The most popular VOD and YouTube services are available. You can use the soundbar and listen to music while streaming from your smartphone.
The yurts are heated by a modern heat pump, providing heat down to -15°C (59°F), and an additional heater in the bathroom. In the summer, they are cooled by air conditioning.
Due to the changeable weather and mountain mud, we ask that you bring comfortable footwear for walking in the tents.
Yurt guests usually have full access to the facilities of the house (children's playroom, guidebooks, maps, leaflets, library, board games, coffee corner, paid breakfasts, and a paid minibar). Access is limited when the entire house is rented for a single group.

Cooking in a yurt is truly unique. You don't have to rely on Turkish or Mongolian recipes, although classic yurts from those regions are known for their aromas. Ours are equipped with all the modern advancements and can be used to prepare scrambled eggs, pork chops, or chicken soup, and if you prefer, pilaf and mezze. The kitchenette includes an induction cooktop, refrigerator, kettle, coffee maker with complimentary tea and coffee sets, and dishes.
The best thing about vacation is that you don't need anything, including cooking. If stirring the pots isn't your thing, we invite you to our Home at Home. We will pamper you with local delicacies and hearty breakfasts, and at the first light of dawn, we will awaken you with the aroma of fresh bread and aromatic coffee. So, come visit us, and we will be happy to feed you. We serve hearty breakfasts buffet-style from 8:00 to 10:00. Children will always find something they enjoy. Even the pickiest eaters will gorge themselves on the food until their ears quiver.
On select days of the week, we serve two-course dinners with homemade compote. They are served from 4 PM to 7 PM during the week and 1 PM to 7 PM on weekends, from Tuesday to Sunday during low season, and daily during high season. Order dinner with your reservation and receive a discount! Meals can also be ordered from nearby restaurants/bistros. One of our three partner restaurants will deliver them.
You'll find us nestled in the Dark Sky Park, so you can gaze at the stars through the skylight in your yurt, and from the terraces, you can admire the entire stunning surroundings. Nearby is a pond and a view of the ruins of Gryf Castle and the von Schaffgotsch family chapel hill in Proszówka. So, on one side, we have the Jizera Mountains, and on the other, forests, fields, meadows, and hills. You can stay put and spend the entire day in the garden, soaking your fishing rod in the pond or napping in a hammock under a fruit tree. Once you're rested, hit the trails. If you're looking to relax, visit the Intimate Spa in the evening, featuring: - a dry (traditional) sauna with temperatures ranging from 90 to 100°C; - a steam room with 100% humidity and a temperature of 45°C; - an outdoor jacuzzi with hot water and bubbles – the perfect place to relax and observe the sky; - a relaxation area with a 300kg salt wall; - relaxation massages available upon request. The Intimate Spa awaits you every evening – free of charge.
We know what's up, where to go, what to see, where to eat, and which trails to explore. We'll be happy to advise you on how to plan your day or take a bike or car trip. A small taste of the many attractions that await near Gajówka:
- cycling routes in the Jizera Foothills,
- walking, running, and Nordic walking trails,
- horseback riding at Gajówka and pottery workshops,
- walks among the wild Rębiszów Ponds,
- the old mine in Rębiszów,
- the Kamień ridge of the Jizera Mountains, - walks along designated trails in a remote part of the Jizera Mountains,
- single-track cycling on the Polish side in Świeradów Zdrój and on the Czech side in Nove Mesto pod Smerkiem,
- Świeradów Zdrój, a health resort with the longest larch drinking hall in Poland, is just a 15-minute drive away.
This is just a prelude to the attractions and entertainment for both young and old. However, the most important thing about Gajówka is the tranquility; it creates a unique microclimate, promotes deeper sleep, and makes simple food taste delicious.
You'll also have access to all the amenities in our Guest House (access is limited when the entire House is rented for one group). We've prepared several nooks and crannies for you to temporarily dispel the drizzle and bring some excitement and connection to those long autumn evenings.
- a playroom and games room for children and adults,
- a library,
- a bookshelf with numerous promotional materials: tourist brochures, maps, books about the area, etc.,
- a media room with an Xbox Kinect and a 55" TV, as well as access to online movies and TV shows,
- retro Nintendo games.
The green and blue yurts have private jacuzzis on the yurt terrace. Exclusively for these yurts. Use them whenever you like – year-round!
According to us and our children, there is no bad weather, only badly dressed children. Our boys bravely march around the Jizera Mountains, help in the garden, go to the beds to watch zucchini and strawberries grow, ride bikes and bury themselves in the mud. A walk through the swamps is a lot of fun, but pack your shoes for a disguise in your suitcase, because after the last adventures in the mud, we had to take Tom out of the shoes that got stuck.
Our boys will be happy to take new companions under their arms, and we, as parents of little Tomek and Igor, know that safety is the most important thing in having a good time. Yurts are located in our Guest House, far from the roads, so the little ones can experience a real holiday in the countryside. In winter, there is a place to go sledding, make a snowman, go for a walk. There is a small sledge hill in the garden, so red noses and happy faces are guaranteed. During rain, blizzards and storms, we have a huge availability of fairy tales and series.
We organize paper wicker workshops for happy groups, families, children and crazy teams, and in the surrounding places there are glass, ceramic, decoupage and bread baking workshops.
We have for children:
- playground with a house, slide, sandbox and swings,
- zip-line,
- trampoline,
- orchard and meadow for fun and ball games,
- multimedia room with Xbox and Nintendo.
If you like being close to nature, but sleeping on a mat and working with a flashlight is not your dream, you must try glamping. The yurt has a table, a sofa and an armchair in the lounge area. Or maybe you'll climb onto the bunk bed to be closer to the skylight in the roof? Our internet is fine. It's not a speed demon, but it's optimal for videoconferencing or downloading company files. We have 2 connections, so it always works both in the yurt and in every corner of the garden. After work, sit on the terrace with a cup of warm tea and enjoy the view of the mountains, pond and forests while sitting on comfortable armchairs.
If you feel like changing the atmosphere at work, in the guest house you will find a living room with large tables and comfortable sofas. There will be a coffee machine and a supply of teas right next to it. As far as you can go :) You also have a coffee machine in the yurt.
At your request, we will also print the necessary documents, just let us know. If the stay is paid for by the company, we will issue a VAT invoice for the entire stay including breakfast and other meals, so that it won't cost you anything :)
