There used to be a forge here. The hearth was beating the heat from the threshold, and there were tongs, compasses and files on the walls. The slammer of a blacksmith's hammer against the anvil was audible from afar. The local residents still remember shoeing horses, even though the only thing left of the old profession is horseshoes for distance throwing. But you can sleep here now - and not just anyhow, because a few meters above the ground - in the treetops. It is true that we do not have a TV, but the view from the window forces a loud "wow", and the food prepared by Ewa compensates for all "inconveniences".
As children, we dreamed of a super secret tree base that would not be entered by anyone uninitiated. If you - like us, did not manage to persuade Dad to hammer nails into the beloved trees in the garden, now you have the opportunity to live among the branches in a real tree house. We spend the whole days in the open air, watching the birds, falling leaves, growing grass and looking after the sausages roasting on the fire - with a smile, without rush. So, prepare for you beds "high"?
With us you can sleep in real tree houses, which are the dream of both kids and adults. In total, we can accommodate 22 people in the cottages.
We built the houses with respect for nature, tradition and local products. For the reconstruction of Stara Kuźnia and the expansion of the complex, we use old material from the demolition of approx. 100-year-old cottages in the Pogórze region. So there are old logs, boards, bricks, roof tiles, giving the place a unique character.
We have four houses for you:
- Blacksmith's farewell up to 4 people,
- Apple tree up to 5 people,
- Clone up to 5 people
- Oak up to 8 people.
The cottages are year-round, heated and air-conditioned, each of them has a bathroom. We don't have a TV here - but you sit in the first row during bird concerts, drink coffee a few meters above the ground, and the ubiquitous greenery cools your head - proven. In the event of a stay connected with work, we have good internet coverage, because we have a mobile phone mast on one of the hills. We have parking spaces on the premises.
You can cook your own meals here, because we provide: a stove, a fridge, a kettle, all kitchen equipment, coffee and tea, and a place for a bonfire outside in the banquet shelter. You also have the option of purchasing meals - breakfasts and dinners, after prior arrangement.
Ewa is fed by a dietitian, so the meals are based on seasonality and products from the nearby plot of Stasia's and Edzio's parents and from nearby farmers. Our cuisine combines quality and taste, based on local products and vegetables from neighboring farms. Drawing inspiration from nature and the history of this place, we compose our dishes so that they delight with taste, every time anew. If you wish for a vegetarian dish, we will accommodate it. There is a winemaker living nearby, where you can get delicious wine.
Our food was appreciated by the jury of the "Country Weranda" magazine as a "Place with Taste", so we say with confidence: you will not leave us hungry.
If you want to go beyond Kuźnia, the closest restaurant to us is the Siedlisko Janczar Restaurant, and for eco products we recommend going directly to local hosts, whose houses we will point out on site.
We recommend a total chillout with a book, wine or guitar in hand. We do not have TV sets by choice - this is the best way to relax from everyday overstimulation. Bring books, crossword puzzles and board games with you. For walkers, we recommend an educational and nature trail in the neighboring "Wielki Las" Nature Reserve, as well as walks in the nearby area, where you can feel the Subcarpathian space. Besides, Bieszczady is only 2 hours away from us, so maybe it's worth taking trekking shoes and climbing the pastures?
Cyclists can use several cycling routes, including Strzyżów-Brzeżanka-Bonarówka-Żyznów-Godowa-Strzyżów. The route is 22 km long and leads through the largest parts of the hills of the Strzyżowsko-Dynowski Foothills. In our neighborhood, the Podkarpackie Apple Pie Festival is held, which should be visited not only by fans of this cake. In addition, in the nearby open-air museum of Folk Culture in Kolbuszowa, you can take part in various events (calendar of events on their website), and in the Glass Museum in Krosno you can melt something out of glass yourself.
Winter madmen are invited to swim under the waterfall, great snowball fights and mulled wine, which warms you up better than a bonfire. In addition, you can organize a family celebration with us: a slow-style wedding, a birthday party or a family reunion with overnight stays in the treetops - what do you think?
What’s there for children?
Kids will have a lot of fun staying in a tree house - so don't leave them at home. In the smithy, we have prepared family attractions and entertainment: a horseshoe and cannonball throwing competition, domestic football. In addition, our kids track ants, catch butterflies, build secret bases in the forest and collect flowers for wreaths. A walk in a meadow and forest can be the best nature lesson, and books about birds and trees in our area receive new - three-dimensional illustrations.
Little athletes can stock up on bicycles, badminton or all kinds of balls - there is nowhere to play. It is worth taking your bikes, because there are several places in the area that you can reach with your child.
What’s there for employees?
In the Dąb house, right next to the large window overlooking the trees, there is an eight-seat wooden table. In the bedroom there is also a small table on which a cup of coffee and a laptop will fit perfectly, i.e. two work essentials. The other three tree houses, despite the lack of separate rooms, have tables for four in the common space. On the terrace there are deckchairs that will take you in their arms after work.
