We are in the Beskid Sądecki, and more precisely in the village of Bącza-Kunina. Its name comes from animals: horses and bitterns, but the locals also have their own legend. It tells about the hermit Bączakunin, who after a long journey stopped here and decided to stay forever. Alone with hills, creek and forests. But as it turned out, he had such a gift for healing and winning over people that his plan of living alone failed. More neighbors soon appeared and Bączakunin somehow had to come to terms with the vision of living in a community. Let us add that according to the legend, Bączakunin came from Italy. You must admit that his surname was eminently Italian.
No matter how big a grain of truth there is in this legend, the fact is that the area still has a lot of charm. And the best confirmation of this is the honey flowing history of our family. Bees are only good where they can find the best nectar, and this is only hidden among lush flora such as the local one. Therefore, when my parents received a plot of land in Bącza-Kunina as a wedding gift in the 1980s, they knew exactly what to do with it. Surrounded by greenery, a stream and a midwife 3 km from the forest, she was to bees what the Hundred Acre Forest is to Winnie the Pooh. The perfect home. My parents received a few hives from my grandfather, but the bees felt so good here that soon the number of buzzing houses reached 44. Years later, we renovated the building that used to be a warehouse in the apiary, and we moved to the city to start something of our own. We closed the apiary, we opened the door of the house for you. There have been no bees here for a few years now, but there are colorful hives next to the orchard and family history. Welcome to the Pasieka House.

Mateusz got from his parents a farm house next to the apiary, which we decided to renovate and make an asylum away from Warsaw, where we live every day.
Apiary is not a tourist place, it is a place where you will feel at home, you will be able to rest and recharge your energy.
