There is a rule here: how you keep warm, that's how you'll sleep. It can get cold in a tent, so instead of satin pyjamas, pack the flannel ones and a pair of wool socks - just in case. There is no WiFi and the cellphone range is limited, but if you continue reading, that's a good sign - instead of a laptop, pack your goloshes and stand nose to nose with a whole flock of fluffy donkeys that came here from France - literally on their own hooves.
Did you know that donkeys - like horses, are perfect for therapy? Especially those with plush noses and big hairy ears. And which evoke repeated cries of "Muuuuum, when can we come back here?" A whole herd of them live here. There are also cats, a dog, but also peace, love and respect for nature, from which everyone draws good energy. If you dream of offline rest - it doesn't get better than this. We certify that donkey therapy is the best medicine for stress, fatigue and a bad mood.
Our yurt is a modern, insulated, year-round tent modeled on traditional Mongolian residential structures of nomadic people. It is made of ecological materials. It is inscribed in a circular plan with a wonderful skylight at the top of the dome from which you can see the stars at night and the clouds floating in the sky during the day. The yurt has air conditioning, which will cool the tent in the summer and heat it in the cold months. There is one yurt, exclusively for you, so you will not meet other guests here and you can relax in an intimate atmosphere. You can admire the sunsets from the terrace, and hide from reality in a hammock in a birch grove.
We also have the possibility of one extra bed. For the youngest, we have a cradle bed. To keep it warm, there is a fire in the fireplace (which of course we will teach you) and instead of packing satin pajamas, take these flannel ones. There is underfloor heating in the kitchen and bathroom, so your morning toilet will not bring unpleasant memories. There are towels and a dryer, so pack an extra pair of muddy shoes instead. The yurt also has a kitchenette where you can prepare lunch or dinner.
Right after leaving the yurt, you have the opportunity to observe a herd of donkeys and their daily rituals. But that's not all - you are also witnesses to life in the countryside. You can hear a barking dog, a tractor passing by, birds chirping, a cow mooing and the farmer whistling as he goes to the field. There are also flies, mosquitoes and a whole galaxy of meadow bugs. We don't have mowed lawns and manicured flower beds, so we wear rubber boots, which are not afraid of mud. We plant sunflowers and flower meadows for pollinating insects that please our eyes, so you can have a close encounter with a wasp or a bumblebee. Our naughty kittens climb onto your lap, shoulders and into your plates – so keep an eye on your breakfasts and sausages from the campfire – because they can mysteriously disappear.
In the morning we serve you breakfast, including country eggs from Mrs. Jasia in all forms - scrambled eggs, pancakes, omelettes, fried, hard-boiled. We can prepare homemade hummus or delicious sun-dried tomato paste for our freshly baked bread. We love oatmeal with milk in our homemade jars, where we closed the summer. In summer, when there is plenty of fresh fruit, you can order fruit for an afternoon dessert with herbal tea. As soon as Mrs. Ania's cow has milk, it can also appear in your breakfasts.
Sometimes you can buy milk, eggs, fruit, vegetables and home-made preserves, but we warn you that they are not always available. You can walk to the nearest store because it is nearby, but do larger purchases by going to us, e.g. in Nowa Słupia, Bodzentyn, Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski or Kielce.
First of all, and most importantly, we have a real zoo here, which is loved not only by the youngest. Our cats climb onto our laps, steal meats from sandwiches, and then take naps in the grass. You can also meet our dog and we will definitely invite you to the donkey enclosure, where there are eight unique donkeys. There we will also tell you about their behavior, history, instincts, curiosities, structure and physiology. Donkeys love petting, so they will be willing to pet, comb and cuddle. We also organize therapeutic classes and walks with donkeys.
10 minutes away from us, we have a unique attraction for you that you won't read about in any guidebook - a sauna in the countryside. Its location is revealed only to special people, and we will tell you this local secret if you promise not to tell anyone about it. The atmospheric sauna is located next to our good friend's farm, it is made of natural materials and heated by fire. While relaxing in the sauna, you can douse yourself with cold water, lie on the grass and look at the stars - pure relaxation.
If you want to go sightseeing, it is worth going to Nowa Słupia, where numerous tourist trails start, including the Royal Road to the Holy Cross or the route to Góra Chełmowa. The largest museums and attractions of the Świętokrzyskie Mountains are just around the corner. It is worth visiting the Museum of Ancient Metallurgy or coming to Dymarki in August. Next to it there is also the newly opened Świętokrzyskie Legends Park. If you are interested in history, it is worth going on a trip to the prehistoric striped flint mine in Krzemionki and in the local museum complex to see how primitive miners worked to extract flint. And speaking of flint, there is the Museum of Minerals and Fossils in Saint Catherine. Are there any fans of "The Early Spring" or "Labours of Sisyphus" here? Because in nearby Ciekoty, where Stefan Żeromski lived, you will see a replica of a small nobility manor house and the "Glass House" Education Center. Castles and palaces enthusiasts will have plenty to see in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship - you can see the magical Krzyżtopór Castle, the Castle in Chęciny, the Palace in Kurozwęki, Sienkiewicz's Oblegorek and many others!
What’s there for children?
Nature is the playground here - sticks, pine cones, mud, donkey hair - this is what takes the kids the most time. Little conquerors run around the meadows, walk in the forests or organize outdoor games. Here, children experience freedom, space and contact with animals. There are fluffy cats that want to be stroked, a friendly dog whose wet kisses won't miss anyone, and a herd of donkeys. We will be happy to introduce you to the "donkey world", we will tell the kids how donkeys go "iiiooo", we will let them pet them, hug them, brush them and talk to them. Human-animal friendships are formed here, so it is worth coming with the whole family.
For total babies, we have a cot and playpen in the yurt.
