Instead of an alarm clock - horses neighing, instead of evening news - a frog concert and the Milky Way visible to the naked eye. In the meadow, grazing deer are accompanied by cranes, neighbors come with a bottle of milk and ask how it was sleeping. And sleeping here is great, because surrounded by total silence - this is not a rule, but you can even hear a mouse stamping out in the attic.
When the screws for the first steam engine were tightened in the world, and the ink had not yet dried on the Declaration of Independence, the construction of a brick house began in a small village in Poland. Not just any, because the one in which every stone, brick and beam was arranged by human hands. And it happened over 300 years ago. Now you can add yours to the history of several generations. We know that it will have a happy ending, because our Gajówka attracts good like a magnet.
All the subtle sounds of the former farm in Gajówka will lull you to sleep. Sometimes something creaks, sometimes the wind slams the door, and a mouse runs across the attic. The house is 300 years old and we could bet it has grown into the ground. We can comfortably accommodate up to 8 people here. The house has two rooms with double beds, one room with two smaller single beds, and if you wish, we can also fold out two folding beds. After all, it's 8 places.
In addition to the bedroom, the house also has a kitchen, a living room with sofas, a fireplace, a large table with all board games and a rocking chair where you can read books from a bookcase. In addition, there is also a bathroom with a shower (a gas stove can give you a short "booty" when you start it - without panic) and a comfortable hall where you can leave at least 8 pairs of shoes, jackets and other walking "useful" items.
The house serves as a shelter for ants, ladybugs, mice and even mosquitoes - in this case, close the windows when the light is on and use spears to effectively scare them away. In the summer, four horses graze in the meadow near the house - also do not panic, they are completely harmless.
You will eat whatever you want - the kitchen is at your disposal. Here you will find everything you need to conjure up meals for your entire team. You can do your next shopping in a grocery store 2.5 km from the house, for larger ones, go to Świeradów Zdrój or Gryfów Śląski. A trip to Jelenia Góra or Szklarska Poręba awaits you for the quite large ones. In Siedlęcin, you can shop at the eco market, where you can get: honey, cakes, tinctures, sourdoughs, sour rye soup, fruit, vegetables, bread and sweet treats.
When shopping, do not forget about sausage, potatoes and corn - we have a place for a bonfire and you can make a great dinner on it. What's more, there are also delicious and healthy desserts from the fire: baked apples and bananas. In case of rain, we have a roofed shed where you can feast until dawn.
We have plenty of opportunities to spend time actively. All the greatest tourist attractions of the Karkonosze are at your fingertips. Runners, cyclists, mountain hikers and walkers will find their place here. For the latter, we recommend a walk around the village - there is little car traffic, you can walk with a pram, and kids can ride scooters. Longer trips can be organized to Hop, or through the spruce beech forest at the "Magic Stones", where, as some say, there is a chakra and you can recharge yourself with its power. The return is equally beautiful, because the fields overlook the mountains. It is also worth going to the neighboring Rębiszowskie Forests - and there are kilometers of walking and cycling routes that can be combined in any combination and discover new, beautiful places every day. Perfect for mushroom picking in autumn.
For runners and cyclists, we recommend asphalt and gravel routes in the surrounding picturesque villages full of interesting places. We can find here ruins of castles, old houses, Rębiszowskie ponds, closed quarries, beautiful, vast fields waving in the wind. A little further trips require a car, but it is worth seeing, among others: the huge dam on the Bóbr in Pilchowice, the Rudawski Landscape Park and beautiful rock formations. Take the gondola lift to Stóg Izerski and go to Chatka Górzystów. An absolute must-have in the area (not only for children) is visiting Czocha Castle - the Polish Hogwarts. In addition, it is worth seeing the closed mine of St. John in Krobica, where tin ore was mined. An underground tourist route has been operating there since 2012, as part of the currently operating Geopark. We also encourage you to visit the JULIA Crystal Glassworks in Piechowice. Here you can feel the heat of a metallurgical furnace and see how steel workers turn into artists, nurturing the tradition of hand-made crystal. In addition, it is worth visiting Świeradów Zdrój, Gryfów and Lwówek Śląski and to the Czech Republic (especially to Czech Switzerland, which impresses with its beautiful rock formations).
However, if you want to lie down and do nothing - we will show you where it is most comfortable, where the wind will not reach you and where you can easily organize a nap without worrying about sunburn. If you want to completely relax, we can organize massages for you - let us know.
What’s there for children?
We have children, so we know how important it is to organize a fun and interesting space for them. One of the rooms is prepared just for the youngest. We have toys, games and books at our disposal. There is a tree swing in the yard, where the youngest spend their mornings. Children most often fly around the yard until we call them for food, feed the horses with apples and grass, play soccer, play hide and seek, climb trees and build secret bases in the woods. In winter, when it is snowing, you can go sledding and sweat in powder.
