Do you know where we are? In central Slovakia, in the valley of Hron and Novobanský brook. Between two mountains - Pohronský Inovec and Štiavnické vrchy. In Nova Bani - better said, so on the edge. Some of you may already have a light bulb that aha - the city we know for its mining history, mining of precious precious metals and royal privileges. And we say, exactly! Did you know that in the times of the greatest expansion, Nová Baňa belonged to the 7 upper mining towns? And as otherwise with mining towns, even here it is not possible without unique mining tanks (our Tajch) or old tunnels (such as the Three Kings). So elsewhere could we rob our Kutica, if not here. After all, this part of the region, despite the hard-fought fate in the past centuries by the sea, Turkish invasions, mine closures, drought, must have been kissed from above - at least we like to imagine it that way. After all, you just need a pleasant walk to the place where once in times of greatest drought the sheep dug water where it never was. At that place, they built a chapel surrounded by a garden, over which a branch of Mammoth sequoia holds a guard. And it is rumored that the spring that began to spring here has a healing power ...
We haven't tried whether the spring is healing, but you can. We will add a wide open door to our Kutice. With a divine view of all the surrounding hills. In our opinion, there is no better medicine for all ailments than nature and the ability to breathe air from full lungs. So if your "receiver" shorts out a lot of all the unnecessary information and stimuli in a moment - reset. With us. Without TV and net. Only with the best view of where you have the medicine to pull your hand out. Try it.
In the middle of nowhere ... if you consider nowhere a place outside of concrete blocks and asphalt, then welcome. Slovak lakes near Nova Bana hide our Kutica. An atypical mini house that will allow you to completely switch off and enjoy the undisturbed peace of nature. Next to a delicious several century pear. At 17 m². But the most important thing you will definitely find here - the bed and the view. And so that you are not cut short, we have added a few little things such as a kitchen, an electric fireplace and also a bathroom and a terrace, so that you feel good.
You will find the bed on one side of Kutice, under the window. So that you are not even cut off from nature in a lying position. One step is enough for you to find yourself in the kitchen and a few more will take you to the other end of Kutice, to the bathroom. Alternatively, you will stop halfway down, sit down, and once again you will giggle and gossip about the beauty of the surroundings.
We like it.
We recommend that you make smaller purchases so that you can bite something under your tooth. Or go to one of the restaurants in Nova Bani.
And maybe you will be seduced by our breakfast? We will bring them to you in a picnic basket right in front of Kutice's door. Just make a fragrant coffee and have breakfast with a view of the surrounding hills and the old cottage nearby.
And believe us, you need to eat well, because ...
... there is a lot to do and not to do here. And you will lose energy. For lounging in bed, on the terrace or on a blanket outside in front of Kutica. In summer, great hatching in the meadow, all those sounds and smells of nature ... um, if you're not allergic, it probably won't be so great;)
And from the position of seven and lying down, you can go to the upright one and wander around a bit. There is a lot to choose from. Wandering around Kutice can take you to nearby Tajch, where you can swim in the summer. In a slightly different direction and a longer walk you will reach the Háj lookout tower and calmly head to the Starohutianský waterfall. In addition to the above, there is also the Calvary, the Vojšín nature trail with a stop on Sedlová skala, Havrania skala, the Bujakov vrch nature reserve (where the protected large-flowered dandelion blooms) and we could exchange until the morning.
Once you put those stray shoes on your feet, you may come across ... trees along the way. Let us clarify, old - several centuries old, with such a trunk circumference that even three men would have something to do to overwhelm them. And we have a few of them here - a linden tree from 1726, a 300-year-old pear, but you will also find 100-year-old redwoods here (one near Kohútkov, the other in Salašisko). Are you asked for more? In nearby Mlyňany, then head to the Arboretum.
From that cultural and architectural barrel, you only need to walk to the center of Nova Bana. City Hall would be able to tell you stories about what precious metals once appeared in its walls. The parish church is about Turkish raids, you will find the Trinity Column and another church with a mining hospital, which was one of the oldest in Central Europe. And if you want to delve into the history of mining, what to see for yourself - the Town Hall is home to the Pohronské Museum, go to the Hronská hereditary tunnel, and the Three Kings Hall is also waiting. You can also go to the town of Hodruša-Hámre to the Hodrušská klopačka, which in ancient times served as an observatory during the Turkish wars, or to call miners to work. And not just like that, but with the help of signals emitted by knocking on a wooden board. We also recommend that you notice the clock on the flap - it is with 2 hands, but the time will show you only one. Is that why the flap got on the UNESCO list? ;)
Have we mentioned anything about the beast yet? So, in addition to those cows that can sometimes run around you near Kutice, you can become the adoptive parent of a small moose on a moose farm in Zveropark in Žarnovica. And if you prefer other four-legged creatures, the National Stud Farm in Topoľčianky or Zubria Zoo in Hosťovce come into consideration.
What’s there for children?
We've changed the rules of the game!
From now on, not only adults, but also families with children can visit us! And we came up with it like this:
- children under 3 stay for free
- children from 3 to 14 years old for half price.
