Many of us dream of a house in the mountains, one with a fireplace, an armchair next to it and a woolen blanket that will cuddle up on winter evenings. Our highlander grandparents - grandfather Bolek and grandmother Zosia - a flesh-and-blood gnome, called by everyone "Aunt Bułeckula", invited us to such a house. Over the years, they ran a tiny guest house called "Dom pod Lipkami", which was visited by famous people from Poland and the world. Our second, "Warsaw" grandmother also dreamed about her own highlander house, so her son and our dad built it for her so that she would be close to us. To this day, under the nose of Giewont, there is a micro house in the highlander style, where you can spend a royal holiday in the mountains. Grandma loved him, you will love him too.

Lovers of Tatra views, hot tea in shelters, crackling fire in the fireplace, squeaky oscypek cheese under the teeth and squeaky snow under the shoes - come! Regardless of whether you know how to ski or winter sports you watch from a safe distance - we will entertain you as beautifully as we can! In the house of "Warsaw's" grandma Zosia, enthusiasts of mountain trails, snowball fights, highlander tea and spruce-scented air feel best.

Our wooden house has a ground and first floor, less than 50 square meters and the title of "the coziest". Couples, families with children or small, close groups of friends feel good here. The two bedrooms upstairs (one with a double bed and the other with two single beds) can accommodate 4 people, and another two bedrooms will fit on the sofa in the living room. However, we do not recommend you to rest in 6 people, because then it gets crowded. 4 people will sleep here most comfortably.

In addition to bedrooms, a living room with a fireplace and a sofa, we have here:
- beautiful furniture made by a carpenter uncle,
- bathroom with shower,
- a separate toilet,
- a kitchen with a dining table,
- a small terrace in front of the house and a large garden.

We are located in a quiet part of Zakopane, but still close to the center. Fortunately, there are no unpleasant noises and tourist buzz, because we are at the very end of a cul-de-sac. Sometimes you can hear your neighbor's mower, but so far no one has complained about sleep.

Everyone has their favorite breakfasts, dinner favorites, and sometimes they skip a meal and go straight to dessert - no one judges it here, and that's why you cook with us yourself. Do what you want on a given day, and if you do not feel like cooking revolutions, below we suggest where to go for dinner or breakfast, because they feed honestly and delicious!

If you want to do shopping, there is a shop on Zamoyskiego 26 B Street that we wholeheartedly recommend. You will find there traditionally baked bread, dairy products, cold cuts, dumplings, honey, cakes and other products prepared locally. We will send you to trusted places for good ice cream, cheese and other local delicacies.

Without prolonging it - you can do anything in Zakopane and its surroundings. There are several easy routes to walk and some challenging routes for mountain climbers. It is worth visiting the nearby shelters - for example in the Kościeliska Valley (Ornak Shelter), where they serve delicious apple pie in the summer and winter variants, and in the evenings you can catch a concert or a wise lecture. If it pulls you into the mountains, from the garden you will come to a path leading to the Strążyska Valley and to the Pod Reglami paths. It is enough to go through the garden, pass the gate and admire Giewont, which direction you should then follow. From the Strążyska Valley, you can go to Giewont, Kopa Kondracka and Czerwone Wierchy and even Kasprowy. And also to the Mała Łąka Valley (through the pass in Grzybowiec) and to the shelter in the Kondratowa Valley (through the pass under Giewont) and further to Kuźnice, from where we return to the house along the path under Reglami. An alternative to mountain trips can be a walk along the Wooden Architecture Trail. And besides, we will suggest places that you will not find in guidebooks - our secret ones, where there are not many tourists, and those worth visiting for the sunrise or sunset.

Winter sports enthusiasts have a choice of many ski slopes and cross-country tracks of various difficulty levels. Take your equipment with you or rent it at one of the local rentals. If you want to learn to ski or snowboard - almost every slope there is a skiing school, and the instructors will take care of even "hopeless cases".

When the weather is worse, you can visit the Tatra Museum, Witkacy Theater, the studio cinema Miejsce, at Willa Oksza, Willa Atma, or at the Czerwony Dwór Native Culture Center. We have some great festivals here that we recommend:

- International Festival of Highland Folklore,
- Music On The Summits,
- Jazz Spring Zakopane.

After a day of struggling on mountain trails, sledding, after walks and frost, it is worth sitting by the fireplace during a heating session and rest your body and head. A glass of angelica or highlander tea helps in this.

At home, you will not find amenities for toddlers, apart from a cot and a high chair, but behind its walls, everything that is worth waiting for children during holidays and winter breaks - wooden swings in the garden, fresh air, forest and peaks to climb. In Podhale, children can do exactly the same as adults - spend time on mountain trails, eat treats in shelters, go tobogganing and skiing (right behind our fence is the Lipki hill - perfect for sleds, with a tiny ski lift for beginners on it ). In warm months, it is worth going on bikes to the Chochołowska Valley, or anywhere in Podhale - there is really something to admire here.

The Museum of Oscypek and Kornel Makuszyński is an ideal proposition for a rainy day, and the ice labyrinth built under the ski jump and the slide on pontoons will raise the adrenaline level of many daredevils.
