In the Opolskie Voivodeship, there is a place where meadows are protected from lawnmowers, floodplains from developers, and nature from brutal "cotton candy and karaoke" tourism. That is why a mosquito can bite us here, in the morning we will hear an overactive rooster, and backyard geese loudly greet the wild ones that fly over their heads. For us, the autumn bull ruts are the attraction, not disco-polo concerts. You won't catch cable with us, but you will get a tan. We don't have a TV, but solid boletes and a place where they catch fish very well. In fact, "apart from the blue sky, we don't need anything else."
One thing is certain, you need to come for longer so that we can tell you the local legends and stories, such as that of people from sunken villages under the lake, anti-aircraft balloons that protected against bombing and buried treasures from the Second World War in the von Garnier Palace in Turawa. And how quiet and peaceful it is here is evidenced by the cranes feeding in the meadow in front of the tent, which are spurred to flight by even the slightest noise. Come to us in late spring to stretch your legs after winter, in summer to take a break from running through the obstacles of everyday life and in warm autumn to grab a supply of vitamin D.
In a hotel-standard tent. It seems simple, natural and in line with the philosophy of life in the countryside, but per 100 m2 we can comfortably accommodate 4 people, and if you insist, two more (in the living room on a comfortable bed). We have two double bedrooms, a spacious living room with a kitchen, a bathroom and a comfortable terrace. The main bedroom on the eastern side has a bed 160 × 200 cm, while the bedroom on the western side is equipped with two single beds 90 × 200 cm that can be joined. We have anti-allergic bedding - sleeping is not only comfortable, but also safe.
We are located on the edge of the forest, surrounded by meadows and we stay away from other buildings in the ecological corridor, on the old floodplains of the Mała Panew river bed, which guarantee privacy. And silence. And peace of mind. So focus on rest, good sleep and a significantly reduced number of tiring stimuli. We have been open since May and close at the end of October if the weather allows it, but late autumn and winter can be hard on you and it will be too cold in the tent. For cold nights, we have prepared warm duvets, blankets, hot water bottles and electric heaters.
The location of the bedroom on the side of the forest wall, which casts a shadow in the morning in the summer, causes a nice coolness (the tent does not heat up in the morning rays, which allows you to laze in bed for longer, and the attic accumulates excessive overheating during the day). The tent is surrounded by an open, private, partially fenced area of meadows and forests visited by numerous roe deer, hares and birds. Lucky people will see protected Grus Grus cranes here. There is a private road leading to the tent. There is no TV here, but there is strong coverage. Embroidered towels, aromatic coffee or tea, firewood and handmade soap will be waiting for you - we do not use plastic packaging. The tent is not locked and nothing has been lost yet (we are there all the time and check if everything is OK in the forest). However, if you are concerned about the safety of your valuables, you can hide them at home during your absence.
The rental price includes all the sports equipment we have (e.g. bicycles, fishing rods, Nordic walking poles, yoga equipment, meditation cushions, board games, cards and hammocks). We are planning to buy good binoculars, maybe even a telescope. Next season, we want to build a sauna, a hot tub, and maybe even a summer cinema.
We live on four hectares in the south of Poland and in this land we keep our flock of laying hens, geese and ducks. We also grow a variety of vegetables and fruits in our large organic garden. We will treat you to an aromatic tincture, home-made pasta, the best home-made bread, Bożena's jam full of aromas and Rafał's delicious cheesecake. On a daily basis, however, you cook your own fully equipped kitchen. The only thing missing is an oven, but if someone would like something sweet, we have delicious pastry shops, ice cream parlors in the area or we can bake something delicious ourselves.
We also sell chokeberry juices and raspberry syrups from a friendly organic farm - Mr. Piotr, or goat and sheep cheeses from an organic farm on the other (eastern) shore of the lake. If you want, we will prepare you breakfast baskets stuffed to the brim with local delicacies. We can recommend you a good fish restaurant by the lake and interesting routes, e.g. along the beer trail.
Let's start with the fact that it is worth taking nothing to us. It may be controversial, but leave your computers and tablets at home and relax here, because nature created this corner of the earth. Here, we promote a slow rest that rubs against laziness. For this, hammocks, board games and blankets are great, and you can lie on them for as long as you like. You can catch freckles on the nose, golden tan and soak the skin in the nearby lakes.
When we are at the lakes, we have five lakes. Turawskie also known as Big, Medium, Small, Srebrne, Tongloch and all related infrastructure: beach, water equipment rental (there are nice conditions even for kitesurfers here), fishery (we have fishing rods) and Mała Panwia, which is worth sneaking around in kayaks. On the shores, in dense rushes, there are observation sites for nesting birds, e.g. little bitterns, wagtail and tern. Plus, it is quite easy to spot circling hawks and eagles above your head.
We recommend cyclists along the most popular bicycle route around Turawskie Lake. The trail is 28 km long, but along the lake there are numerous pubs, ice cream parlors and shops where you will certainly regenerate your strength. We have comfortable four bikes tested on gravel, forest roads, lakeside potholes and sand (and the basket will hold two bottles of wine). Our surroundings can also be visited from the horse's back and during long walks in the forests (we have Nordic walking sticks).
When getting to know our surroundings, it is worth visiting the surrounding villages and monuments. We will recommend you to see wooden houses and farm buildings in the Opole Village Museum, the magnificent von Garnier Palace in Turawa (yes - those Garnier from Kremów), the oldest iron bridge in Ozimek in Europe. We have a lot of knowledge about the surrounding archaeological sites of the Przeworsk culture, which stretches along the old dry riverbed of the Mała Panew river. We will help you organize a trip with a local guide on the trail of historic wooden churches (Mr. Jerzy has written several volumes of books about the history of our commune - all books are included in the tent). It is also worth going to Krasiejów, where the first fragment of a dinosaur skeleton in Poland was found!
What’s there for children?
We do not have any attractions prepared for children, because we invite sensible older people here. We also believe that young people will be able to plan their own time - they will read books, go into the forest in the footsteps of deer, spend a day on the beach or on a bike ride. You are welcome to visit us with children over 8 years of age.
