For some, Janopole will be completely ordinary, just a classic Masovian village between Szczawin and Latonice. For me, however, it is all that is special. Let me show you with my eyes.
I can see a forest road leading to Siedlisko, a lavender field enchanting with purple, a flower meadow attracting insects, hammocks among trees where guests take a nap. Behind the gate, the welcoming committee is always Darka and Dragon, my dogs who take the role of the host to heart and show new arrivals around the grounds. We have a lot of it, as much as 1.5 hectares, so 3 large houses and 2 small (open seasonally) fit easily here. I built the houses with the highlanders, the gentlemen were involved in the construction, I put my heart inside. Among the trees there is also a sauna, a forest kitchen, a barbecue shed, a pond with fish and a forest entertainment center. Someone is swinging on a rope hanging from a tree, another team is playing boule to play a beach volleyball match later, kids climb the lookout tower on a tree, adults light a fire sipping the local wine. Exactly, I also have a vineyard that produces delicious grapes that I turn into wine. Therefore, autumn is the time for grape picking and mushroom picking, although you do not need to move. Beautiful butterflies grow on terraces, just bend down. You probably already know what my Janopole is like. It is the end of the world in Masovia, and at the same time an hour's drive to Warsaw. There are deer running in the surrounding forests and meadows, and on the road you have to be careful not to face an elk. Nothing more is needed, only you are missing. Pack your belongings, take kids and friends and come for forest fun and deep breaths. I invite you with all my heart.
In the refuge of peace in Mazovia. Janopole is a small village where the number of inhabitants barely exceeds 70. This means that there are more trees on our plot than there are inhabitants in the entire village. There are 5 houses on 1.5 ha of land, each of them is a comfortable distance from the next, has its own garden, hammock and porch.
So we have 3 larger year-round houses for 4 adults + 2 children, and in them:
- a bedroom with a double bed (140 cm),
- mezzanine with a double bed (140 cm) and a single bed (120 cm)
- a living room with a fireplace, a sofa bed (for two people),
- kitchenette,
- bathroom with shower.
And 2 smaller wooden houses (open seasonally) for 2 adults + 1 child, and in them:
- a bedroom with a double bed (140 cm),
- a living room with a sofa bed for two people,
- bathroom with shower.
There is no kitchenette in the small house. But there are dishes, a microwave and a refrigerator.
A communal, well-equipped forest kitchen is located in the garden.
We invite you without animals. Unfortunately, our dog Dragon does not tolerate unknown dogs.
You are independent here, also when it comes to food. Each large house (we have 3) has its own kitchen, but for safety reasons (wooden houses and the forest around) there are no cookers and ovens. There is a small fridge, microwave, sink and all necessary utensils. The small houses do not have an annex, but they do have a corner with a fridge, microwave and dishes. In the garden there is a communal summer kitchen where you can cook and serve. There is a gas cooker in the forest kitchen, there is also a large grill and a fridge. In summer, each cottage has its own grill, you can also make a fire in the clearing.
If you can do without cooking, jump to Nowe Miasto by the lagoon (5 km). Here you can take a bath or go water skiing, and when you feel hungry, go to a pub. You can also stay a step away from Siedlisko and order a pizza or a dinner set with delivery.
In the evening, it's time for a barbecue or a bonfire in the open air, and when it rains, you will find shelter in a highlander's gazebo overlooking a pond with fish. Here you can also feast at the grill. Of course, an evening without wine is a lost evening, especially if you have wine from my vineyard at your disposal. Masovian grapes are recommended for tasting.
Away from the humming roads, in the vicinity of the hum of the forest, on 1.5 hectares of land, you will have blissful peace. You don't come here for a revelation, and you leave in a sensational mood anyway. I built the habitat with highlanders among pines and birches. There was also a private vineyard (in the past, while my husband and I lived in Germany, we ran a vineyard) and a field of lavender, which smells beautifully in the summer and pleases the eyes with its juicy purple.
I dreamed of creating ideal conditions for you to rest, the lazy and active one. Each house has its own private garden, where you can lie belly up on hammocks, deckchairs or simply sit on wooden seats or on
on the terrace at a wooden table and enjoy doing nothing. And when you get bored of lazing around, you can play table tennis, play a volleyball match on a sandy pitch or play boules. Later, it's time for archery at the target, a bicycle trip (bikes are in place), and on hot days, a swim in the pool (seasonal, foldable) is a rescue from the heat.
It is also worth exploring the area with poles (on site) or crossing the Wkra River on kayaks. If you prefer holidays in the saddle, the horse farm is a stone's throw from Siedlisko. At a distance of less than 5 km, in the New Town there is a bathing beach on the Nowomiejski reservoir.
After a day of attractions, it's time to relax in the public sauna standing in the forest or by the fire.
What’s there for children?
Children will feel in Siedlisko as at the best summer camp. In the middle of the forest, they don't have to control the joyful squeals, the calls from the treehouse and the emotional cheering on the beach volleyball court. The days in the forest were slow, with carefree offline fun in Małpi Gaj, where little monkeys improve their physical fitness. The game also engages parents, because stalking or archery games do not have an age limit. You can organize an intergenerational table tennis tournament or play boules, and when you are fed up with throwing a ball, we recommend you play on the ropes hanging from the trees or jump into the pool to cool down.
There is a stud nearby, so you can spend time in the saddle, and we have bikes on site, so forest expeditions on two wheels are even recommended.
What’s there for employees?
In year-round cottages, next to the kitchenette, there are wooden tables with benches, where four people can work comfortably. Also on the terrace of each cottage there is a table with benches. In the diner, at the wooden benches, there will be room for about twenty people, thanks to which your training can be carried out in very comfortable conditions.
