Quite close by, young Chopin gave spectacular solos on the keyboards, and a branch of the Amber Trail ran along the ridge of the nearest hills. In nearby Duszniki, you can drink the healing waters as much as you want, and on the slopes of Szczeliniec you can sunbathe and recharge yourself with the purest form of vitamin D. One of our neighbors produces liquid gold - honey, and the other gives us fresh milk. And maybe that's why we're so happy here.
We are located in the valley separating the Orlickie Mountains from the Bystrzyckie Mountains, quite close to trails, ski runs, cross-country tracks and the coolest single track in Poland. These are the main reasons for our suspicion when someone says that you can get bored with us. You can, but you have to really want it. Check for yourself what the foothills of the Table Mountains and the Polish-Czech border have to offer, come to Magic Places!
4 people can freely spend their time in our modest, but incredibly conveniently arranged space. The cottage has two bedrooms (with double beds), a living room with a sofa bed and TV, a kitchenette with a dining table and a bathroom with shower. If you want to smuggle an additional person (or people), you can use the fold-out sofa in the living room. The cottage has a ceiling sound system. And by the way, we have two houses at some distance from each other - it may happen that in the second there will be other guests.
You can come with your pets, but the area around the house is not fenced. We are on the edge of a clearing where wild game often appears - we warn you just in case Fafik wants to chase a spotted deer.
You eat what you want and whenever you want in the equipped kitchen. We recommend starting the day with the morning coffee from the coffee machine drunk on the terrace (you must still be wearing pajamas!) For lunch, you can go to Duszniki, and cook dinner on the grill. You have full freedom and freedom - eat for your health!
If you dream of local and healthy delicacies, our neighbor (literally the one from behind the fence) - Krzysiek, who breeds dairy cattle, can sell you fresh milk, country eggs and his own rennet cheeses in several varieties (it's worth it!). Mr. Staszek sells fantastic honey - we will let you know where to look for it. We are located at the end of a tiny village, we are close to the forest, so if you are passionate mushroom pickers - you will have your hands full and baskets (porcini mushrooms, kites). In the autumn, you will find hazelnuts and blackberries in the orchard, which we will gladly share with you.
Lovers of sweets will find their way to the Dzień Dobry Cafe (Duszniki-Zdrój) confectionery, and you can eat a good dinner in Dobre Smaki (also in Duszniki-Zdrój). You can also do some research on the Czech side - you can find delicious local food there by bank.
If there is something you want, we probably have it in the area. Right next to us, there are walking and mountain trails (the most recommended is the Trail to Zieleniec, Szczeliniec Wielki, to Skalne Grzyby and Góra Wolarz). We are located in the buffer zone of the Table Mountains National Park and the Orlickie and Bystrzyckie Mountains are also very close - if you like to trek along the trails, this area is perfect for spending an active holiday. In addition to the mountains, we can boast the vicinity of the largest Singletrack project in Poland, which has over 260 km of ski runs - cyclists pack your equipment!
In the nearby Duszniki, the historic 19th-century pump room of healing waters is noteworthy. The biggest attraction of Duszniki Zdrój is the Paper Museum, which organizes the Paper Festival every July. In addition, it is worth taking a walk along the Market Square and the Spa Park, all the way to Chopin's Manor. Since 1946, the International Chopin Festivals (August) have been held in Duszniki, during which you can take part in a competition, recitals and piano concerts of the best musicians from around the world.
Right next to Duszniki, there is the Peatbog Reserve near Zieleniec, which is a relic of the Ice Age (it is worth visiting it in the fall!). Close vicinity to the Czech Republic can result in a full-day trip to Prague (2.5 hours). In addition, there is also a horse stud in our area, where you can buy horse riding lessons, a ski and snoboard station (Zieleniec), a tennis court and a golf course. You can choose the color.
What’s there for children?
We do not have any attractions or toys prepared for the youngest ones, so when going with the kids you have to stock up on the most necessary things. Instead, we provide amenities such as a cot and a high chair.
The nearby Fairy Tale Museum and the Frog Museum (Kudowa Zdrój) are worth visiting. In Duszniki, head to the Colorful Fountain, which shoots 45 meters high (seasonally) and use the colorful Duszniki Express (the route leads through the most beautiful and interesting parts of the city). It is worth taking small railway fans to Polanica-Zdrój for a ride in an electric train!
Slightly older children can be taken on the trails and bicycle routes. Errant Rocks and the Tour of Dying Professions Trail (Kudowa) are particularly noteworthy.
