If you associate Wielkopolska only with the Uprising, Poznań croissants and the historic first capital of Poland, we must fix it quickly! Whoever thinks that only Silesia has good noodles - did not eat our dumplings. Not in Masuria, but here is the longest water route - the Great Waterway Loop of Wielkopolska, which can be traversed with any floating equipment. We have here a resultant of all the lands around us and buried gems such as: the old engine house, which still releases steam locomotives on the routes, the possibility of launching a catapult and trying a delicious Benedictine.
And when you get bored with the attractions of the "big world", hide with us - in the former Separowo farm. We have prepared for you fresh linen in Wozownia, a place for a bonfire and the best seat at the nearby Strykowski Lake. Especially for you, we have developed the greenest grass, slowed down the time and made the area quieter - we invite those who want to breathe, eat a slow breakfast on a blanket in the park and enjoy the sweet laziness.
In the Dworek Separowo complex, more specifically in Wozownia, i.e. a guest building. The coach house can accommodate up to 20 people - in various configurations. We have 8 double beds and 4 single beds for you in partly interconnecting rooms. In the coach house there are also 2 bathrooms and a toilet, and our pride - a living room with a pool table, where we enjoy evenings and rainy days. We can also boast a fireplace, by which it is worth warming up after long walks with a glass of wine in your hand and a collection of old furniture and accessories from previous eras (mangle, piano, old sewing machines) - we combine the old with the new and we fight to keep the interior preserved its unique character. Squeaky floors help in part. The common parts also include a kitchenette and a dining table that can accommodate 8 people at a time.
We would like to emphasize that we are in the countryside - so you can hear a working tractor and an intense smell of fertilized fields (but only in some weeks). There is also a diving fly and a mosquito buzzing behind the ear - we will not do anything about it because we try not to use chemicals for spraying (we have historic oaks in the park). We test luring mosquitoes and other insects to places away from buildings. In the event of any failure, we have our own generator, which makes noise during operation, but at least then there is electricity - something for something.
What do you feel like doing? You can organize yourself in the kitchen and dining room, but we can also prepare a breakfast buffet - everyone will choose something for themselves. The products we use to prepare breakfast come from our friendly suppliers (eggs, cold cuts, cheese). We recommend eating for a long time, enjoying the flavors, textures and combinations of flavors - we guarantee that slow food will also translate into a successful holiday.
You can prepare lunches and dinners on the spot or go to nearby restaurants (we recommend pierogi from an old Polish inn in Ptaszków or a bit further in Grodzisk Wielkopolski - Concept Burger Pub and Restaurant in Hotel Reślinski and in Wolsztyn Restaurant Galeria Europejski Przysmaków). If you have the opportunity to try traditional Wielkopolska cuisine - do not hesitate for a minute! In a good kitchen you can eat dishes that are a combination of traditional Polish cuisine, high French, Jewish and three main German cuisines. Do you know that this is where Liliput and Gzik come from, and the best tincture (from 21 herbs) is made by monks from the Benedictine Abbey in Lubin according to recipes from hundreds of years ago? In a word: it's worth it.
You can also organize a picnic on the grass, light a grill or a fire - we have both. Beer lovers will be interested in the annual Grodzisk Piwobranie combined with a tour of the local brewery.
We encourage you to visit the Wielkopolska National Park (for a walk or a bike trip) and to swim in the nearby Jarosławiec Lake (take your swimwear and filter oils!). It is worth visiting Puszczykowo and a must-see for travel lovers - the Arkady Fiedler Museum. History lovers will appreciate a trip to the beautiful Rogalin Palace (Poznań branch of the National Museum) and to the castle in Kórnik. It is worth visiting the castle arboretum in spring, when magnolias are blooming. When you run out of possibilities and attractions in the vicinity, we recommend you to visit Grodzisk Wielkopolski (19th century brewery, Market Square and City Park), Poznań (Cathedral, Market Square with goats and the obligatory Croissant Świętomarciński) and Gniezno.
In addition, we encourage you to take part in the grand celebration of Kupała Night in Granowo, in the summer festival at Lake Strykowskie (in Stryków), and if you visit us during the holiday season - it is worth visiting the fair in Grodzisk Wielkopolski. One of the most interesting festivals are: Slavic Culture Festival in Gniezno and Jare Święto in Grodz Pobiedziska (during which ... you can launch yourself into the air with a catapult).
If you care about daily training, we recommend morning yoga sessions at sunrise in the park, sunbathing, cycling and jogging in the vicinity. On rainy days, it is worth immersing yourself in a book, conversation or playing a game of pool. Come to rest, slow down and take a deep breath in our silence in Greater Poland.
What’s there for children?
If you just want to take your kids with you - they will have something to do here. For the youngest, we have prepared toys and a table with a chair - here the little painters and draftsmen color their first masterpieces. It is worth taking the little ones on sightseeing tours or cycling tours. Slightly older kids find themselves in the role of explorers and adventurers by playing hide and seek (and there's nowhere to hide!), Stalking, building secret bases and playing board games on blankets on the grass.
We also recommend you a bit more attractions, such as the Mosińska Kolej Drezynową, which invites you to an adventure on the old railway line running along the edge of the Wielkopolski National Park. The beginning and end of the Mosina Pożegowo route (a mandatory stop on the shores of the charming Kociołek Lake). If you decide to go on a trip to Poznań, be sure to visit the Imagination Laboratory (part of the Poznań Science and Technology Park) and take part in interesting workshops, experiments and experiments - it's worth it!
