At a glance
Sąsiadka is a village – you could easily say – completely deserted. No one will be offended here. The streetlights go out early, and the hooting of an owl is heard more often than the sound of cars. Its name encapsulates a long story about the Cherven Towns, the Ruthenians, and the Lachy – quarrelsome neighbors from a thousand years ago. In the 10th century, today's Sąsiadka was Sutiejsk ("border"), a territory that once belonged to the Lachy and once fell into Ruthenian hands. By the 16th century, it was already called Sącziaska (from the Proto-Slavic "sotěska," meaning ravine), apparently forgetting the castle's turbulent history. However, Sącziaska became Sąsiadka in the 19th century – combining its historical roots in one word.
Today, you'll find traces of the castle in the village, and in the forest – still – numerous small ravines. There's a typical village grocery store and good neighbors from whom you can buy fresh eggs and butter. I invite you to Roztocze, to a simple cottage, for simple pleasures.

My day job is stressful, so I've found a way to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I'm active and cycle a lot, admiring the beauty of nature while also regaining my balance. A few years ago, my family and I bought a cottage in the Roztocze region that was in complete ruins. For six years, we returned every weekend to renovate, repair, and furnish it. It paid off, and I can now invite you to the modest but beautiful home in the picturesque Roztocze countryside. The cottage, straight from an open-air museum, has strived to preserve the atmosphere of old cottages as much as possible while providing all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The furniture was handmade by a local artisan using traditional methods. I have many folk decorations.
