In the past, in the vicinity of the Beskid Nadpopradzki (today's Beskid Sądecki), tar was smelted, linen shirts and vests decorated with gold embroidery were worn, and boiled was eaten for breakfast. In the past, the spherical domes of the church protruded from between the trees, the Lemkos lived in the woods, and bears walked through the beech forests. Today, only the wind carries the echo of bygone years, beech forests hide deserted villages, and part of the church has been leveled long ago. It was so. How is it now?
We still live here according to the principle "no matter how many days in life, but how many lives in days". We do not rush, we do not curse the weather, we respect nature and our neighbors. In our place, you can hit the trail from the very morning, track salamanders and turkish snacks, or wander in pajamas until late - no one will judge, and most likely no one will see at all, because we live in the proverbial "rump". You will not see amusement parks or souvenirs of suspicious origin here. We sit here quietly, and instead of parties, we prefer heating up by the fireplace.
If you feel that you need a break and a solid rest - come to Binczarowa. We will store you, feed you with decent breakfasts, let you sleep and return you in better condition.
In a house located on a hill in the small town of Binczarowa, where you will not meet the crowds of tourists or any commercial attractions, there is a house where you can rest for all times! It is comfortable to spend time here in 8 people, but we can accommodate 4 more on the sofas and a sofa, so you can come up to 12 people in total.
On the ground floor of our Binczarowy house there are: an open kitchen with a dining area, a bedroom with a double bed, a bathroom and a living room, where we can additionally accommodate two more people on a fold-out sofa. From the house you can go out to the terrace (with a brilliant view of the mountains) - we recommend eating breakfast there. And in the evenings, we most often sit by the fireplace and drink wine to warm up after all-day walks around the area.
On the other hand, there are two bedrooms on the first floor - one of them can accommodate 4 people (a double bed and two single beds). The second one has a double bed and a sofa bed. There is also a second bathroom on the first floor and a balcony with swings (next to the larger bedroom).
Recently, in Binczarowa, we enlarged the terrace and installed a jacuzzi for you (not a tub, to be exact, but the fun is the same). There you will find wonderful relaxation with a view of the surrounding hills.
At your request, we can prepare you delicious and hearty breakfasts, which include only local delicacies: bread, country eggs, jam, jams, fringed cheese, lard, bacon and sausage, milk soup. You can also create your own breakfast from the available products (vegetable salad, spring salad, gyros salad, bread, eggs, jam, milk soup, cold cuts, tea, challah, yeast dough, chocolate cake) - depending on the option selected, the price will be slightly different .
In the kitchen, you can prepare anything you want - we made sure that you will find all the necessary tools and appliances here, but if you also decide to rest from cooking, we will recommend you the nearby "Cichy Kącik" inn, from which no one has left hungry or dissatisfied. We recommend you drink your morning coffee from the swing on the balcony or terrace with a view of the mountains - we know from experience that such a morning gives you energy for the whole day!
You can do your shopping either in the nearest grocery store in Binczarowa (about 15 minutes on foot) or in larger stores in Delikatesy in Florynka or in Grybów.
First (and most importantly) boredom is not bad, and sometimes it is worth not to do anything specific - browse the newspaper, close your eyes and expose your face to the sun, gaze at the peaks of the mountains, or take a nap. Remember that you are coming here to rest!
However, if sitting and lying down is not for you, then we have a lot of walking paths, for example the one starting at the house and leading to the top of Jaworze. Walkers and mountain hikers will appreciate the proximity of Hala Łabowska, Wierchomla, Wielki Rogacz, Hala Pisana, Radziejowa and Cyrla. From Hala Łabowska it is worth going along the red trail to Jaworzyna Krynicka, from which you can admire the panorama of the Tatra Mountains. The best way to cover the Low Beskids is by bike, because the surroundings are made for sightseeing from the level of two wheels. Dozens of paths and bicycle routes await you here. We recommend the trail in the footsteps of the Lemkos (Grybów - Ropa- Kilmkówka - Magura Małastowska - Gładyszów - Krzywa - Radocyna shelter approx. 55 km) or along the red and black loop through Żeleźnikowa Wielka. Beautiful routes also lead around Lake Rożnowskie and through Bukowiec and Jamna.
If you like to travel in the saddle, you will be delighted by the beautiful scenic 100 km trail of mountain equestrian tourism in Starosąd. There are a dozen or so equestrian centers in the area where you can learn to ride or go on a horseback riding trip. It is also worth taking Nordic-walking sticks with you, because the area is perfect for trips with sticks.
Enthusiasts of history and monuments should visit the Castle in Rytro (which hosted King Władysław Łokietek, his daughter Elżbieta, Casimir the Great and Queen Jadwiga), the Royal Castle in Nowy Sącz (experienced by fate, including it suffered in the Swedish Deluge, now partially rebuilt) , beautifully situated Tropsztyn Castle in Wytrzyszcz and the ruins of the castle in Muszyna. It is worth going to Nawojowa and seeing the Stadnicki Palace, and the surrounding towns are full of historic manors and fortifications (Rożnów, Brzezna, Lipnica Wielka, Chełmiec and many others). It is worth considering a trip at least as part of the Wooden Architecture Trail (a series of concerts is organized in selected venues, Music Enchanted in Wood).
In winter, we recommend the nearby ski slopes: Ski Station in Kamianna, Ptaszkowa Winter Sports Center and Cieniawa-Ski - although these are just a few of the closest suggestions. In autumn, it is worth taking wellington boots and baskets with you, because the surrounding forests (fabulously colorful at that time) encourage mushroom picking. As you can see - you can have a great time here all year round by completing the day plan for walking, longer trips, sightseeing or climbing in the mountains.
What’s there for children?
We do not use any special treatment for kids, the only amenities we have is a cot, and the rest - we let go. Here, the kids have fun as befits the countryside - they run around the meadow, in the garden, organize races, hide-and-seek, stalking, bake sausages on the fire and explore the area. The closest attraction is our neighbors' playground and looking after the animals on the farm. They often come back hungry and dirty, but happier than anywhere else.
Also noteworthy is the Galician Town in Nowy Sącz and the local trail of old professions, where museum employees are eager to tell stories and demonstrate the work of representatives of individual professions. In order to tire the most persistent ones, you can climb Mount Zabełcka and admire the panorama of Nowy Sącz and the Tatra Mountains.
Slightly older children may be interested in a visit to the Regional Open-Air Museum, which has a lot of historic buildings (manor, peasant farms, apiaries, farm, churches, etc.) which are a showcase of former ethnographic and ethnic groups: Pogórzans, Górali Sądeckie and Lachs, Gypsies, Germans and Lemkos.
When you come back from the mountain trails, bicycle routes and visit all the castles, jump on the grass and go rafting on the Prawd - we guarantee that the two-hour trip will provide a lot of emotions (not only for the youngest). You set off in Piwniczna, and you land in Rytro, where it is worth going along the educational and natural path "Rogasniczy Szlak" created in honor of the deer created by Maria Kownacka in the story "Rogaś z Dolina Roztoki".
