Welcome to the town of Podhale with an exotic name. We have a bunch of legends explaining where Murzasichle came from. One of them says that 400 years ago there were two villages here: Zasichła, which is a settlement located behind the Sichła river, and Mur - a village ravaged by a plague, plague. As you probably guessed, the towns finally merged into one, giving rise to one of the most surprising Polish language creations.
In addition to the name, the panorama of the Tatra Mountains and their proximity is constantly astonishing here. The mountains are our way of life: Bartek has followed in his father's footsteps and has been a Tatra mountain guide and TOPR rescuer for many years. Kasia's passion is folklore - you will surely notice it in the interior of the apartment. We invite you to the Tatra Mountains, on trails and ski tours, on walks with a view and on mountain stories.

Bartek – a highlander by birth, from the Gąsienica family – is undoubtedly a man born in the mountains. He combines his passion and work as a high-altitude Tatra mountain guide. He works daily with the Tatra Volunteer Search and Rescue (TOPR), continuing the legacy instilled in him by his father, Józef Gąsienica-Józkowy, a Tatra rescue instructor and TOPR rescuer who made the first helicopter flights in the Tatras.
And as is typical in highlander families, the woman is in charge. It's no different with us. Kasia – an ethnologist by training, a folklorist by passion, takes care of her home and family every day. She postponed her work and interests until later, when the children were a little older ;-)
When creating the Tatra Góral Ski Apartment, we tried to pay attention to every detail, combining our shared passions into one, believing that you will find space, peace, and endless conversations about the mountains and highland culture here.
