At a glance

Welcome to Kazimierz Dolny. Before you start sightseeing - leave your luggage first :) I invite you to a side street at the foot of the Castle, from which there is a panoramic view of the Vistula River. You might expect that here, so close to the Market Square, there will be unbearable buzz and first-class asphalt. Well, it looks quite different.

The street is modest in size, paved with cobblestones. There are wooden fences next to it, a bench here and there, a chapel at the end. And we lead a social life there - just like in the countryside. This is the atmosphere we have here. Rural and urban. We are happy to open the gates, say good morning, talk over the fence.

My family history brought me to Kazimierz. Here, during my student days, my parents met, I watched the atmosphere of Kazimierz since I was a child, and when I finished my studies myself, I decided to taste the local life to the fullest. My dad - an architect - has meanwhile designed the house. There was a crumbling cottage right next to it, which could not be saved anymore, but Dad wanted to preserve the atmosphere. He searched for, found and transferred a similar one, matching the surroundings, fragment by fragment. He created an unusually high, multifunctional space in it. Now I, as an architect from the next generation, refresh its interior, add a little new spirit and open it for you.

MYdomek. A place for summer rest, recreation and workshops - created by Jagna Badowska, an architect, digital nomad, capoeirista, lover of the Vistula and wild beaches, who was seduced by the paradoxically calm, yet intriguing life of a small town. She abandoned the rush of Warsaw, in favor of the slower rhythm of Kazimierz, which places social life and activity in the bosom of nature at the top of the pyramid of values. By hosting visitors, she infects them with the Wabi Sabi philosophy, which reflects a way of feeling focused on harmony and authenticity of what is simple, modest, mysterious and ephemeral.

Bez cienia wątpliwości, śmiało i serdecznie polecam.

śpiew ptaków.. a w oddali drugi brzeg Wisły.. Życzę swojej Rodzinie kolejnej wizyty u Jagi🥰
