At first glance, Stara Morawa does not differ from other villages in the Śnieżnik Massif. However, it is old for a reason. The first mention of Miraw (the then name) appeared in documents from 1346 issued in Prague by Prince John of Luxembourg. It was the same year when his son Charles IV became king of Germany, Bydgoszcz received city rights from Casimir the Great, and Edward III defeated the French in the Battle of Crécy. Centuries later, there was a marble mine, an ironworks producing cannons and cannonballs, and a lime kiln processing dolomite deposits from open-pit mines in the area. Was happening!
Now nothing happens, and that's what we love. From the bedroom windows we have a view of Młyńsko Mountain, Suszyca, Śnieżnik, and while brewing morning coffee in the kitchen, we can admire the ski lift at Kamienica (800 m from us). Miętek the cat is basking in the sun on the terrace, the kids have been occupying the playground since dawn, and after breakfast you can hit the road. Depending on the season, these include cycling, cross-country skiing, skiing, caving, walking up and down, or an escapade to the reservoir accompanied by an inflatable crocodile. We invite you to the Morawka River valley, where between the Bialskie Mountains and the Śnieżnik Massif you can lose track of time and gain peace of mind.
In Stara Morawa, 570 m above sea level, in the Morawka River valley, in the Kłodzko Valley. Right here, in our favorite part of Poland, we have built (with the help of professionals, of course) a cottage for relaxation and mountain activities. It is located in a garden with an area of 1 hectare, where you will find hammocks, a lot of grass for games and activities, a place for a barbecue and a bonfire, and a bench under a tree for reading books.
The house can comfortably accommodate a maximum of 8 people, of course smaller groups are welcome. There are 4 bedrooms and two bathrooms, a living room (TV, Netflix) with access to the terrace, a super-equipped kitchen with a dining room and two terraces.
We also invite you to workation!
The average speed of our internet is: download in Mb/s 31.63 and upload in Mb/s 6.84. You can easily make a video call with us via the webcam, which is enough to send and receive e-mails, browse websites and send small attachments. The best working conditions are in two rooms with desks and in the dining room on a large wooden table overlooking the garden. We also have space on the terrace (large table and lounge set) and in the garden (chairs).
And in more detail, on the plate:
- bathroom with shower,
- kitchen with a view of the Kamienica ski lift (800 m from Polna Mięta),
- dining room and living room with TV and access to the terrace,
- bedroom with a sofa bed and TV,
- there are stairs leading to the first floor, where you can also sit - they have a reading corner.
On the floor:
- a bedroom with two single beds or one double bed with a view of Młyńsko Mountain,
- bedroom with a double bed or two single beds with a view of Mount Suszyca,
- a bedroom with two single beds or one double bed with a view of Śnieżnik,
- bathroom with shower.
The house has a washing machine, dishwasher, high-speed Internet - everything that allows for comfortable rest and remote work.
Tucked a little further, about 30 meters from this house, there is another, smaller one, dedicated to adults and teenagers (you can find its offer here: https://slowhop.com/pl/miejsca/5238-polna-mieta-lux.html). We, the hosts, live 100 meters from Polna Mięta and we will be happy to spend time with you by the bonfire and tell you where to go for a walk, where to ski, and where to bike, if you want.
You create the menu yourself, because we don't look at the plates. You have complete freedom and a fully equipped kitchen with a view of the mountains. If the first thing you think about in the morning is coffee, you will find a coffee machine and coffee supplies in the kitchen, and on the terrace there are flowerpots with several varieties of mint. You can add it to dishes or brew it in a cup.
If you come across Czech neighbors, as a break in your journey and a regenerative meal in summer and winter, we recommend the sweet dumplings with blueberries served at the Paprsek shelter, the local beer "Holba" or the local competitor of Pepsi and Coke called "Kofola".
All necessary information about shops, local products and restaurants we recommend can be found below.
Ride your soul, there is no boredom. Well, unless you want to, then boredom falls for a cup of coffee, for an after-dinner nap, puts you in a hammock and lets you lie with your belly button up. Usually, however, the natural offer of attractions in the area is too tempting and draws even the most ardent fans of lazing out from under the duvets.
Our family of 4 knows something about it, because we spend most of our time outdoors all year round. With wild pleasure, we will tell you what, where and how in the Kłodzko Valley. The Kamienica ski lift (800 meters from Polna Mięta) is under your nose, while the Czarna Góra ski resort is 15 minutes by car. Cross-country skiing trails are about 5 km away. The combination of Polish cross-country skiing routes with the Czech ones makes us the largest center right after Jakuszyce.
Go to the recreational reservoir in Stara Morava (2 km) for sunbathing or swimming. We will also guide you to our favorite hiking trails (for advanced skiers and walkers) with observation towers.
For cyclists, our area is a real paradise, we use it ourselves. Hundreds of kilometers of routes, with the largest network of Singletrack Glacensis paths in Poland, stretching over a length of 260 km. These are one-way routes built in forest areas only for cyclists. If you don't have your bike, it's not a problem, we have several friendly equipment rentals. For those who prefer recreational trips on asphalt roads, we have many picturesque roads with low traffic, between the villages at the foot of the Śnieżnik Massif. Two bicycle routes pass through Old Moravia:
- black bicycle route: western Bialskie Mountains loop (Stronie Śląskie, Młynowiec, Dział pass, Sucha pass, Nowa Morawa, Bolesławów, Stara Morawa, Stronie Śląskie), length 24.70 km, medium difficulty level,
- black bicycle route: Janowa Góra loop (Stronie Śląskie (town), Stronie Śląskie (village), Janowa Góra, Kletno, Stara Morawa, Stronie Śląskie), length 14.20 km, recreational route.
If you prefer walking, the roads to the forest start right outside the house. In the neighboring town of Kletno, you can visit the Bear Caves and the underground route in the old uranium mine in Kletno. For health, we recommend the spas in Lądek Zdrój, Polanica, Długopole, Kudów and Duszniki. Międzygórze with the Wilczki waterfall is also a nice place to see. The town was built in the Alpine style, and the buildings located there are architectural gems.
You can also actively rest on the spot. In front of the house, we installed a playground that we designed ourselves. It is situated so that parents can admire their children while sitting on the terrace. We offer sports equipment: balls, a boules set as well as a net and badminton rackets. The living room opens onto a terrace with a comfortable set of lounge furniture and a large table with chairs for dining. The large space of the garden allows for various activities without getting in your way. We have a chillout zone with hammocks and a bench under a birch tree, a zone with a fireplace and benches, a sports zone and a playground.
There is a shed on the property where you can store sports equipment. We have friendly electric bike rentals, off-road scooters, downhill and cross-country skis.
What’s there for children?
Our young people have a great time here! Swings, slide, climbing trees, walk to the edge of the garden for blackberries and return home with purple fingers. We involve kids in all the surrounding activities. We ride snowboards - the nearest ski lift is 800 meters away from Polna Mięta. We recommend the Kamienica Ski Station. On the slope from the side of Bolesławów there is a 4-seater sofa. We go through the forests on cross-country skiing, we pedal it uphill and downhill around the area, we meet deer and deer, and in the evening we admire the stars from the garden, those falling and those hanging high.
When you do not want to move, you can play boules, play a volleyball or leg match, hit with badminton rackets, lie belly up on the grass. We have the necessary equipment for games and activities and a hectare fenced garden. We know from the reports of the youngest guests that the corner on the stairs works brilliantly as a base for all kinds of tasks. You can hide from adults, read (not only Harry Potter), play board games or just lie back.
In front of the house, we installed a playground that we designed ourselves. It is situated so that parents can admire their children while sitting on the terrace.
What’s there for employees?
In the common area there is a large wooden table overlooking the garden. The house is rented in its entirety, so the level of peace and quiet depends only on you. In two rooms there are large work desks, and in the other bedrooms, on request, the hosts can add two more. After work, take care of your psychophysical well-being and ask the hosts about activities in the area.
