If someone were to ask where in Lithuania there is an island with one and a half thousand inhabitants and hundreds of thousands of birds, not everyone would know the answer. This place stretched between Nida and the border with Russia, in the Nemunas Delta Regional Park. It is a safe home for many flying, running, floating and crawling creatures. It preserves the unique culture of the island: different holidays than in "mainland" Lithuania, a different recipe for fish, and instead of beer, punch is brewed. And the canals and streams here are no less than in the famous Venice ... Guessed? Yes, this is Rusnė Island!

Another reason to visit Rusne is because of the Rusne Villa with its noble restaurants. The chefs create miracles in it from local fish, mussels and crayfish - incredibly aesthetic on a plate and quickly dissolving in the mouth.

We welcome couples, families and small groups for chamber celebrations or meetings. We do not promise you good roads, a sterile environment or fast food. But you can really catch your eyes, listen to the sounds and pamper your tongue.

The villa can accommodate about 20 guests, we will find more places for family events and more. We offer for rent six elegant rooms of different sizes. Each has a private bathroom with the necessary toiletries and a hairdryer. The hosts provide bed linen and towels. All rooms have air conditioning, a fan, an electric kettle, cups and tea.
Rooms are located on different floors.
The villa has no extra beds for children.
Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the villa. During the off-season, temporary communication disruptions are possible due to strong wind gusts, but there are no such problems in the summer.
When choosing accommodation, it is important to remember that the villa is surrounded by wildlife, on the river bank. Frog concerts can be heard at night, birds can wake up in the morning, and spiders or bees can come to the guests. If in doubt, it is worth consulting the Villa Hosts before you arrive.
Pets are not allowed here.

When staying in the villa, breakfast can be ordered separately (extra charge of EUR 8 per person). Breakfast sets are available for choice, with a vegetarian version available. The villa does not have a kitchen for guests, but it is possible to order food prepared by professionals. "Food you eat with your eyes": this is the slogan Rusne Villa's restaurant could use. In the opinion of the guests, the dishes here are delicious and aesthetically pleasing, the traditional local cuisine has been successfully combined with the modern. It is made to order from an extensive menu, but the most frequently ordered dishes are fish with crayfish, beer soup and sturgeon fillet with lemon sauce according to the branded recipe of magyro of Rusnė manor. There is also a menu for children.
From 24 June, when the summer season begins, guest service starts at 1 p.m. and ends at 9 p.m. (Weekend and off-season schedules may be different).
In addition to the traditional service, the restaurant can host festive and tasting dinners. During the tasting of the exclusive Noble dishes, it is offered to taste the Royal Red Deer blood bitters, the noble fish pie, mussel cranberry and red wine sauce, the famous quail under the shirt, the angel porridge and the hot Krupnik. To order a tasting, the minimum number of people in a group is 10.
Villa guests are unlikely to need to look for food elsewhere, but even if this happens, fish lovers on Rusnė Island will not be hungry. In the town of Rusnė, 5 km away, there are many smokehouses where you can buy real Russian fish. The most popular is Skalvio Street, where you can buy smoked redfish, smelt, eels and dried fish.

Rusne Villa is located in the countryside, in the embrace of the Pakalne River, in the territory of the Nemunas Delta Regional Park. The homestead stands away from other residential buildings. It is about a 10-minute drive from the Curonian Lagoon. The biggest advantage of this place is the proximity of nature and its inhabitants. Fish are always caught here, so fishing enthusiasts often come here. It is an ideal place to watch the birds and listen to their sounds, especially during spring and autumn gatherings. Only here can rare and protected species of flora and fauna be accepted. And finally, Rusnė Island is famous for its unique festivities. Shaktarpis is celebrated in March when ice cream moves, Rusnė festival in August, Žuvienė cooking championship in September, and Rusnė becomes the center of ice fishing in winter.
On the other bank of the river, bicycles can be rented at the neighbors (homestead “Pakalnės vingis”). If you take a path or walk towards the lagoon, you can reach a small wooden observation tower 3 km away, and another 3 km away - Uostadvaris lighthouse with an observation deck (18 m high). Both offer wonderful views of the fields, the breadth of the lagoon and Nida.
It is fun not only to ride or walk around the island, but also to go boating or kayaking. It is possible to rent on site (ask the owners for contact), or go to Uostadvaris (4 km), where many boats and their captains are waiting to sail according to the desired route.
The town of Rusnė itself is beautiful with the typical wooden architecture of this region. Around the canals and streams - ancient fishing villages, flooded every year by spring floods. If you want to see even more, you can continue your trip around the Nemunas Delta Regional Park or visit Šilutė (14 km).
In the territory of the homestead there is a beach volleyball court and paddle courts for leisure.

Rusnė Island is a perfect place for a child to make a closer connection with the world of wildlife. Only after going to the riverside path will wild flowers, dragonflies and butterflies attract attention. Young otters bathe in the river near the villa, and horses graze on the other bank. A stork is slowly walking nearby, showing its cubs how to hunt a fat frog. In the morning, moose, deer, foxes and other islanders appear in the fields. In short, all the surroundings are full of new colors, sounds, smells and traces that will memorize the whole life of the child and arouse curiosity and love for nature.
Swimming in the river with children is not recommended - it is quite deep near the shore.
