Although we are not from here, we have put down roots here, overgrown with moss and grown into the landscape of the Jizera Mountains. We already know that when the Mist Mountain gives birth to fog, there is a change in the weather. They go down to the very house and then we have the impression that we are walking on clouds. We believe that magic happens in the nearby Witches' Glade on Walpurgis Night and we know the local legends. When we sit in the garden, by the roaring stream, we feel like the Incas in Machu Picchu. We learn white singing in the Valley of Harmony, we watch the process of creating ceramics, we go for walks in Jakuszyce, we pick mushrooms on Kozia Szyja, we ride bicycles, we hear when the neighbor's cows come back from the pasture and when our hens wake up - stupid.

Welcome to Kopaniec, a settlement of contemporary artists, where houses have a log construction, barns have an avalanche of history, and passes hide the secrets of Slavic cults. We will host you in our barn, a bit of a palace, a bit of a country cottage, we will serve breakfast spiced with nigella, nettle soup, African stew, power balls, all without meat and lots of herbs. We will tell you where to go for drumming workshops, where to learn ceramic mosaic, and where to create stained glass windows, we will tell you about the Bóbr Valley and give you peace of mind. Take cross-country skis, because you can go on a route from the house. The beaten path to the red door awaits.

Welcome to Stodoła. For us it's a bit like in the countryside, a bit like in a palace. A gold-framed mirror hangs on the brick wall, an old barn door decorates the bathroom wall, and our neighbor's 50 cows graze behind the fence. So there is the morning mooing, the smell of the countryside, the sound of water. The barn with a terrace, a stream with stones and a private view of the Mountain of Mists are yours.

There are over 50 m2 of open, high space with a sleeping area, a fold-out sofa and a kitchenette with an island, a large bathroom with a shower and access to a covered terrace. It will be most comfortable and private for a couple, friends or a couple with older children.

Of course, if your team members include animals, we welcome them with open arms. Although we also have certain requirements: please clean up after your dog (bags are provided), bring a bed and a bowl, make sure they don't destroy flower beds and furniture, don't bark at dawn, and so on ;) Everyone knows what we mean.
Canaries, dachshunds, hamsters, hens on a leash, puppies and dogs, guinea pigs and rabbits, come!

We, the hosts, live behind the fence, we go to you through the old cemetery gate, that's the atmosphere we have. So we are here, but as if we weren't there. Of course, if you need help or a word about the area, we will be happy to give you a tip, a chat, or even a snowboarding lesson.

In Stodoła you can cook like in a palace! The kitchen is decently equipped, so if you are the type of holiday cook - you have quite a lot to do.

Our observations show that guests usually spend time on the covered terrace. Right next to a babbling stream, with the sounds of the neighbor's cows in the background. With a book, with his eyes fixed on the Mountain of Mists, with his face in the sun. Once you allow yourself a bit of sweetness in the form of doing nothing, you may feel like being active. We have more than enough of those around. We recommend the nearest neighborhood to walkers, walkers and climbers.

A must-do walk is the one to the Mountain of Mists. That's what it was called by the Germans (Nebelberg), and although the Polish name is Ciemniak, we stick to the Mountain of Mists. It is here, at an altitude of 699 m above sea level. fogs appear, descending right to the house and heralding a change in the weather. Between the Mountain of Mists and the rest of the Kamienicki Ridge there is Babia Przełęcz, which is called the Witches' Glade. According to folk beliefs, witches' sabbaths were held here. According to legends, next to the nearby Jelenia Źródła there was a chra, a temple related to the Slavic religion, and Babia Przełęcz itself was a cult place. Now, instead of witches, there is a junction of many roads and forest paths (at an altitude of 646 m), there is a wooden table and benches, you can eat before continuing your journey.

From the Witches' Glade, follow the blue trail to Bobrowe Skałki. On the northern side, the wall is approximately 25–30 m high. There are metal steps leading to the top of the rocks, and there are also secured climbing routes. At the top there is a brilliant viewpoint of the panorama of the Karkonosze Mountains (especially their western part) and the Jelenia Góra Valley and the Rudawy Janowickie Mountains in the distance. From Stodoła Station to Bobrowe Skałki and Sowi Kamień you have a 40-minute walk. If you haven't had enough of walking yet, go to the Kamienicki Ridge, to Kamienica (974 m above sea level), from where there is a view of the Jizera Mountains and the Karkonosze Mountains, as well as Śnieżne Kotły, covered with snow all year round.

If you want to combine fun with mushroom picking, head to Kozia Szyja. It's a nice walking route, and there are plenty of mushrooms here, you'll be bored! You can be picky and only go for the best pieces. There are also stone ramparts here that are full of secrets. There are several theories: that they were built by aliens, that they were the work of the Celts, that they are the border of the Moravian-Celtic state. It is known that they are several hundred years old, are on average several meters thick and 1.5-5 meters high. The rest is unknown. Perhaps you will discover something new.

After physical activity, it's time for spiritual experiences. We have very talented neighbors who are happy to share their knowledge and skills. We recommend taking part in their workshops, be sure to visit:

- Wysoki Kamień Gallery in Kopaniec run by Piotr Syposz,
- Harmony Valley, where you will find a Medieval Settlement and take part in white singing or drumming workshops.

An important event in the region is the Open House Day, which has been held on the last Sunday of May for years. Half-timbered houses reported by their owners are open to visitors. It is worth going on a journey and looking inside them to see what it is like to live and work there.

If you have time, go to the Bóbr Valley. There is a lot of beauty, history and legends there, we will be happy to tell you what, where and how.

We have 3 kids ourselves and we know how it is. Little ones, kids who don't know what five is yet, will have a few traps here. There is a stream with a deep stone bed near the Stodola, which makes a wonderful noise, but may pose a danger to children. There is also a fireplace in the Barn.

Therefore, families with young people aged 10+ will feel best with us. We don't have WiFi, there's no TV, so you can kill boredom with outdoor activities. Walking, rock climbing, workshops in local art studios, bicycles, cross-country skiing, skiing, and snowboarding - Radek is an expert in this field. Together we can look at the hens, collect nettles for soup, we will direct you to Jorg on horses, and we will tell you where to look for legends about witches.
