Welcome to the most beautiful log cabin of 2021! We would not have made such a statement ourselves if the voice of the people had not won us first place in the category of the most successful wooden interiors in the Czech Republic. We owe this mainly to the interior designer Šárka Horáková, who understood exactly how we imagine our house. She beautifully combined sober furniture in the style of modern countryside with several old, renovated pieces. In addition, she helped us invent the characters of three elves, who are such (in) visible mascots of our wooden house in Šanov.
Šanov is a small village in the foothills of the Eagle Mountains and Králický Sněžník. There is silence, peace, meadows, forests and pastures. According to the map, the village is part of the Pardubice region, but the soul feels like a northwestern Moravian. In the center of our village is a classicist church, a sculpture of the Holy Trinity and a statue of St. John of Nepomuk, which were consecrated in 2000 by Father Václav Dolák. We can therefore say without hesitation that there is holy peace in Šanov.
Our U Tří skřítků wooden house is BEAUTIFUL in one word. From the outside you will be enchanted by its traditional mountain look, inside by the modern, light interior. We wanted to give our guests plenty of space to breathe.
LIVING ROOM
It is a pleasure to stay in a minimalistly furnished space with living room, kitchen and dining table. With a comfortable couch, you can watch TV or dance to the flames in the fireplace.
In contrast to traditional log cabins, our room is really beautifully lit by classic and French windows, through which you can enjoy the surrounding nature. The whole interior is dominated by spruce wood paneling, which is elegantly disturbed behind the stove by a layer of natural stone.
BEDROOM
The house has 3 bedrooms. Each has a double bed. In addition, there is a single bed in the two bedrooms, which can be turned into a double bed by extending the lower part. Up to 10 people can comfortably stay with us.
The log cabin has 2 modern bathrooms with bath, shower, bidet and toilet.
The whole interior has a calming effect, because we play with tones of blue and beige. We just want you to find your inner peace with us and relax not only during sleep. A pleasant warmth will also help you with that, which can be conjured up in winter with the help of fireplaces and underfloor heating.
SITTING
Around the chalet there is a generous garden, where small, large, and often adult children run. If you prefer to relax instead of running, you will find a spacious terrace or balcony overlooking the garden. When the children are running around, you can indulge in a coffee or a glass of wine and watch them from the unreachable heights of the first floor.
The kitchen is spacious, modern and well equipped. If 3 families come to us, 3 chefs can move in it at once and will not interfere. Maybe just a little. The fridge is large enough for weekly supplies for the entire staff.
You can sit together at the dining table with a comfortable bench and chairs. However, if the weather allows, we recommend moving to the terrace with food. We equipped it with an outdoor table and seating, a beautiful view was provided by Mother Nature.
EVENINGS BY THE FIRE
You can also use the terrace with an evening barbecue. A grill with the necessary utensils is of course at your disposal. When you go on a trip to Lower Moravia, stop at the Heřmanice Farm. You can get beef and pork and grilled vegetables, as well as cheese, fresh eggs, milk and yoghurt for breakfast. For fresh fish you will have to drive half an hour in the opposite direction. You can buy exhibition trout or zander on the fish farm of Jiří Kokora near Lanškroun.
We also have a fireplace in the garden. Whether children prefer burritos or mousse candies, it is unbelievable how long they can sit without moving around the fire.
There are classic pubs with Czech cuisine in the area, so if you get hungry unexpectedly, you have a place to solve this stressful situation. But you will have to go a little further for higher gastronomy. Great is Kramář's cottage on Suchý vrch, whose visit you can combine with a trip or skiing.
We built the U Tří skřítků log house in the foothills. Which logically follows that it is uphill almost everywhere. But it's worth it! In our surroundings it is full of lookout towers and beautiful views. You can go cycling or walking. Contemplate, think, love. And after a busy trip, relax in the garden.
When the mountains change their coat from green to white, you can ski fantastically here. A kilometer from us you can jump on the cross-country trail Jeřáb, which offers 26 km of machine-modified ski trails. It will be enjoyed by every lover of peaceful trips, who wants to dream more than blow.
If you prefer a whistling downhill, the Šanov Ski Resort with a blue and red piste with a total length of 700 m, a ski school, a children's ski lift and great evening skiing is ideal. Within driving distance are also larger ski resorts Buková Hora, and especially Lower Moravia.
If you like trying something new, you can play disc golf. Modern sports with baskets instead of holes and flying saucers instead of balls will test your skill. There is a professional playground in Králíky, where you can lend and explain everything to you. But you can try some impromptu freestyle in our garden.
If you are interested in military history, explore the Králická fortress area, which was part of the Czechoslovak fortifications, built before the Second World War. The starting point, where you will learn everything important, can be the Military Museum Králíky.
For those to whom bunkers and artillery fortresses say nothing, we recommend staying in Králíky and admiring the historic core, which has been a monument zone since 1990. You will enjoy the classicist architecture of town houses, Baroque buildings and the late Art Nouveau savings bank of the Viennese architect Alfred Konnerth from 1914.
For the little ones, we have created a cozy play corner with toys under the stairs, where they can hide and invent intricate plush stories undisturbed. For active and more independent children, there is plenty of space in the garden for jogging, as well as a safe play house with a slide, swing and sandpit.
The Dolní Morava complex is used for all-day gossip. Take a walk in the clouds and enjoy an unprecedented view of the surrounding countryside. In summer, a bobsled run, an adrenaline park, a trail park, scooters, trampolines and the Mammoth Amusement Park for the little ones await you. In winter, you can enjoy skiing, snowmobiling and a roller coaster.
There are many possibilities for trips in the area. For example, Stamichman's nature trail with wooden statues and a stone cave is great for children. Pick up a playing card at the info center to support children's competition a bit.
You can walk the kingdom of owls in Králíky yourself or ask the owner for an hour's lecture. And when the children are nice, the owner will show them his talkative parrots.
