Beyond the mountains, beyond the forests, on the edge of the Borecka Forest, in the Garbate Mazury region, there's a place where you can relax in peace and quiet, and those who wish can do something creative. In the summer, I teach painting and drawing classes in a renovated barn and in the winter in my private studio (just let me know in advance). A dozen or so years ago, I quit my job to work on the grassroots, and together with my favorite team of people, I renovated a traditional Masurian cot, leaving behind many of the original bricks, beams, and planks. The furniture here is one-of-a-kind – either handmade or restored. Some was also made by local artisans and sculptors.

Here, you can relax from the city. There's no television, but there are piles of books. A wood-burning fireplace warms the entire house. On autumn and winter evenings, a live fire creates a calming atmosphere. We spend our time in a traditional way, preferably with family and our canine friends. There are several lakes in the area with quiet zones, and a village beach with a pier is just a kilometer away. It's a relaxed space for creative work, yoga, and getting closer to nature. Come and experience this freedom.

Ground floor: living room with a fully equipped kitchen, bedroom with a double bed (140 cm wide). Bathroom with bathtub. The basement can be used. The living room opens onto a terrace. The living room features a fireplace that heats the entire house (air distribution). Analog wood-burning heating is available. Wood is provided. If you're feeling adventurous, you can chop large logs into small pieces with an axe.

First floor: bedroom (passageway, sliding doors between bedrooms) with a double bed (140 cm wide). Bathroom with shower. Bedroom with two single beds (90 cm wide).

Next to the house is a century-old renovated barn, known as the Community Center. It features the owner's gallery, a wooden floor for playing or exercising, and space for bicycles, SUPs, and board games. Behind the barn, there's a view of the forest and fields, and hammocks are available. The barn doors swing wide open, revealing a view of the surroundings, offering a gentle breeze on hot days and shelter from the rain in inclement weather. Available from May to October (uninsulated barn).
Drawing or painting lessons are available for those interested for an additional fee (terms to be agreed). Lessons can be held year-round. Outside the summer season, they take place in the heated part of the hostess's studio in the barn building.

The hostess is usually not present during your stay, so you must register in advance for lessons. For guests over 14 years of age. Sometimes the hostess lives and stays in the studio, especially during the winter months. Heating assistance is available. If we agree that guests would like to stay alone in the property, this is possible (after completing a short fire safety training).

The kitchen is fully equipped. Meals are self-catering. The nearest restaurants are in Olecko and Gołdap, at least 23 km away. A kebab shop in Kowale Oleckie is 14 km away.

The area is beautiful and wild. The Borecka Forest is famous for its interesting natural sites. Several lakes in the quiet zone are nearby, including two in a strict nature reserve. A village beach with a pier is a 10-minute (1 km) walk away. The Bison Farm in Wolisko is also nearby, and the Gołdap health resort with its graduation towers is about 30 km away.

On Piękna Góra, there's a revolving café and a ski lift in winter. There are cycling and cross-country skiing trails in winter. And the trail to Santiago de Compostela begins in the nearby village. So, you can start your new journey here. :)

At home, you can relive wonderful days in analogue terms and see how people lived back then, how they carried wood, how they burned wood, and so on. This experience is becoming increasingly rare, and soon it will likely be banned altogether. In my opinion, burning a live fire is a huge attraction that is slowly disappearing from our experience.

A playground, treehouse, and sandbox are available.

In the "Community Center" in the barn, there are board games and Lego blocks. Part of the barn floor is concrete – you can draw classes there with chalk and play. Chalk drawing is allowed there.

In one of the bedrooms in the house, an acrobatics ribbon is hung upstairs.

The internet is PLAY mobile. It's relatively good. I can watch movies and send large files via WeTransfer without any problems. My daughter communicates live on Messenger and has classes on Teams. In addition to the large dining table, there's an additional table in the living room downstairs. Upstairs, in one of the bedrooms, there's another large table and an armchair.
