The action of the last true western takes place in Koziegłowy in the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland. As befits the Wild West, there are eyes squinted by the sun, clouds of dust, spurs on the boots, John Wayne riding off into the sunset, horses galloping through huge pastures, but no gunslingers. On these pastures, where our horses rule, there are three prairie houses. California, Nevada and Montana were created for cowboys, horsewomen and complete beginners. If you know next to nothing about riding theory, we will teach you the west seat, and before you know it you will be galloping in the field. If you know the saddle better than the back of your hand, you can take part in training in working with horses using Natural Horsmanship methods and participate in training with problematic animals.
Prrrr, it's time to change the gallop to a walk and listen to the sounds of the Ranch. The neighing, the pounding, the singing of birds, the rumbling of the tractor carrying hay to the stable. At the cottage there will be a welcome basket with local products waiting for you for breakfast, and then it's jeans, cowboy boots, a hat, and so on throughout the day. Break for lunch, hammock, changing the saddle for a bicycle saddle and a trip to the nearby castles. In the evening, a bonfire and a well-deserved sleep. Come get to know the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland from the perspective of a western saddle.
Welcome to our fairy tale. Here, time is spent on a horse's back, in a stable, in a pasture or overlooking the pasture. So if horses are not your cup of tea, you will not miss them here.
As befits cowboys, our houses refer to Western climates. There is California, Nevada, and Montana on our Rosochacz Ranch and complements the collection of older Utah and Arizona homes. However, they stand on the other side of the farm, in a pasture, and have a view of the horses, meadow and forest. There are about 50 horses on our prairie, so wherever you look, there is a steed. both from a large room, terrace and bedroom).
Our houses are triplets - they are identical, so there are no equal or equal. From the large room, terrace, bedroom and hammock you can count the horses to sleep. They will comfortably accommodate 4 people, but 6 people will also fit (thanks to the fold-out sofa in the living room).
- on the ground floor there is a living room with a glass wall that serves as a TV, a sofa bed,
- kitchenette connected to the dining room,
- a large bathroom with a shower,
- terrace,
- there are two bedrooms upstairs - one with a double bed and the other with two single beds.
In case of hot weather, each house has air conditioning (both on the ground floor and in the glass bedroom on the first floor), when it gets cold, we turn on the heating. You don't have to take your reading with you, home bookcases are equipped with our favorite items - mainly reportages.
In addition, each house is equipped with a portable bluetooth speaker - if you get bored with neighing horses, singing birds or a tractor with supplies for horses passing by, you can make other sounds.
The cottages have well-equipped kitchenettes for your convenience. You can bake it, heat it up, boil it, fry it, but it's better to get it under your nose. In the cottages there will be a basket with local products waiting for you, including fresh bread, a few pieces of eggs, homemade granola and a bottle of wine.
Then it's time to sweat while learning, and when the soreness in your legs and buttocks doesn't allow you to continue training, it's time for dinner. You can prepare it yourself, but we know from experience that it is better to use a home catering company from the neighborhood. This is what our guests do and it works. Breakfast is delivered to the Ranch every day around 8:00 a.m., and lunch is delivered at 3:00 p.m. Every day there is a choice of the dish of the day - meat and vegetarian. The portions are apparently too large, and the dishes are home-made and tasty.
For dinner, you can eat a sandwich in the pasture, take some dry bread to the horse, or light a fire and talk about the experiences of the past day with other cowboys and horsewomen.
Prrrr, time to stop the stagecoach in Jura Krakowsko-Częstochowska and change the saddle. Here, in the Rosochacz Ranch, the world revolves around horses. Anyway, it's impossible not to notice it, since the first thing you'll see after waking up is our herd grazing for hotyzont. So you can ride horses, just stroke them, comb them, admire them or learn to talk to them. We have adventure packages for you, field trips, learning from scratch and training for advanced horse whisperers. There is something for those starting their life with horses, for seasoned cowboys and brave amazons, and a special course during which we introduce you to the advanced secrets of working with NATURAL HORSMANSHIP methods with problematic horses. Everyone will find something for himself. And after adventures in the saddle, it's time for a sauna, tub and singing by the fire.
We practice dressage in a western seat, which is our specialty. Getting to know this style changed our lives and our approach to horse riding. Over the years, we have developed our own teaching model. We rely on balancing lessons in the manege with field trips, so that learning is as pleasant as possible for you. Selected, well-trained horses are the basis of our school. They provide comfort while learning to ride, safety and are the best galloping companions. Most of the horses you will have the opportunity to ride are American Quarter Horses.
What we cowboys like the most and what we infect you - our brave students, are trips and horse rides around the Krakow-Częstochowa Upland. As the Leaders of Mountain Equestrian Tourism of PTTK, we always pay great attention to beautiful views during our hikes, leading the hosts through its most beautiful fragments, also those inaccessible to other tourists.
If after hours in the saddle you still lack movement, bicycles are waiting for you on site. You can replace the saddle with a saddle.
After a day of activity, it's time to relax with a massage. You can order a massage to the cottage, and if the weather is good, we plan to build a charming tent where you can relax in the bosom of nature. Massages are payable additionally - please inform us about your desire for a massage two days in advance.
In addition, for those willing, for an additional fee, we can organize a canoe trip or a bicycle tour of the most beautiful places of the Jura (castles, caves, etc.).
What’s there for children?
For kids, we have a great playground at the houses. We also have a special animation offer, which we implement as part of week-long stays. We work with Hapi Hapi, which organizes colorful and creative animations that discharge children's batteries. Depending on the needs, animations can take place 1-2 times a week. Up to 10 children can easily participate in the animation. If you are interested in your kids' participation, be sure to let us know in advance.
Horse riding lessons are obvious, but we do not have ponies, which we gave to a rehabilitation center a few years ago and now help the kids there. Our mounts are large horses, so we invite parents with children from 12 years of age for a saddle holiday. We know from experience that our riding teaching methods and horse handling culture are safer than others. Your kids will be in good hands and on the best ridges under the sun.
Smaller toddlers can try to saddle, help clean horses and get used to these wonderful animals.
