Although Nydala in Swedish means “new valley”, our houses are perversely located on a highland island in the Polish Spisz, at the foot of Pawlikowy Wierch, in the vicinity of Czarna Góra, Jurgów and Łapszanka. Or, more simply, in Rzepiska - one of the highest villages in Poland, from where you can see the villages of Jurgów, Brzegi, Białka and Czarna Góra from above. At over a thousand meters above sea level, there are no visual distractions, there is only a view of the Tatras. From the terraces, from the bathtub, from the sauna, from the barbecue shelter, from the bench by the fire, from the playground. From everywhere. A view that hypnotizes, and which you will want to binge-watch like the most absorbing series.
We invite you to three mountain houses smelling of freshness, which are already waiting for your close-knit team or family. Each for 8-10 people, each with a fireplace. Two of them have their own sauna, and one has a viewing bathtub instead of a sauna. Choose what suits you best and come for your own postcard of snowy peaks.
House no. 1 is designed for 8 people, houses no. 2 and 3 are designed for 10 people. In all houses you have an unobstructed view of the Tatras, huge windows from floor to ceiling, a terrace with garden furniture, a living room with a fireplace.
Layout of the houses:
- large living room with access to the terrace connected to the dining room and kitchen,
- bathroom with shower,
- 2 bedrooms each with a large bed and 2 bathrooms (one en suite) on the first floor,
- 4 single beds in the attic.
Additionally: house no. 1 and 3 each have a private sauna and a fireplace next to the house; house no. 2 has a bathtub in the bedroom with a view of the mountains.
Fully equipped kitchens are at your disposal in the houses. Each house also has a terrace with garden furniture, where you can eat meals with a view of the Tatras. Additionally, house no. 1 and 2 have private fires, for those who like cooking on the fire. A shared shelter, for all guests, together with a barbecue can accommodate up to 30 people.
Let's start with our own backyard. There is a sauna, places for bonfires, a shelter with a grill, terraces where you can sunbathe even in winter - like in the Alps. In house number 2 there is a free-standing bathtub with a panoramic view of the Tatras, and houses number 1 and 2 have private saunas.
Rzepiska is a village with a view - as in the attached pictures. You can walk around the area (the trails start right under the house) and soak up the views, which, thanks to the weather and clouds, change like in a kaleidoscope. You can also go just beyond the fence and visit the neighbor's cows ringing their bells and grazing in the scenic meadow. You can also jump somewhere further, on mountain adventures.
We recommend the following trails to hikers:
1) the trail from Palenica to Gęsia Szyja - pleasant for beginners, although with one considerable ascent
2) the trail from Kuźnice to Murowaniec/Hala Kondratowa - also a rather walking trail
3) the ascent to Kasprowy from Kuźnice - more ambitious
4) the trail from Palenica to the Valley of Five Lakes - not for everyone in winter, but very scenic all year round
5) the trail to Grzesia - easily accessible and also scenic
6) the trail to Wysoki Wierch - with panoramas of all the mountains in the area
7) the trail to Zielony Kiezmarski Staw - a fairy tale in terms of views and without the crowds like at Morskie Oko
We send cyclists to the trails around Lake Czorsztyn (Velo Czorsztyn and Velo Dunajec) at the beginning, but there are many more possibilities. If you want to test the gears in practice, plan a ride from Oravice through Zuberec to Kvačianska Dolina (or even further, to Liptovský Mikuláš). You will also find beautiful trails in the Wierzbowski Foothills and in the Poprad Basin.
Or maybe you are thinking about skiing? The nearest ski lifts are 7 km from us, in Białka Tatrzańska. In the same place, cross-country trails are also prepared every winter. Other nearby ski resorts are, for example, in Jurgów (8 km) and on the Slovak side (Ski Centrum Strachan - 18 km).
What’s there for children?
For kids we have a great playground and an outdoor gym with monkey bars. In winter there are sleds and rides right from the house, and board games in the evenings.
What’s there for employees?
You can work, but it's not worth it. Because the view of the Tatras is so distracting that it's hard to focus on emails. We have a desk in house no. 3 and an armchair in house no. 1 (you can have your laptop on your lap while sitting in an armchair) for work.
