Welcome to the foothills of the Eastern Ridge of the Bardzkie Mountains. We have walked it long and wide, but it is not a big feat as the range is 20 km long and 6 to 10 km wide. The peaks are far from alpine ones, but you can climb them without being in a crazy condition, and the valleys, and the towns cut by rivers and streams in them, look really lovely. In the village of Laskówka, surrounded by green ridges. The former border between Silesia and the Czech Republic used to run here, and this is still remembered by numerous border stones on the hilltops. We direct the seekers wild and rural to us. At the edge of the village, where there are a few more farms, and further on, orchards, fields and forests. When driving through the village, remember to turn left after the bridge on the stream with the same name as the village, and follow the road behind the farms. Before the chapel, take a right turn and welcome there.
We have Dziko and Wiejsko cottages for you, the smell of harvest and a cherry orchard, and also a swimming pool, playgrounds, bicycles, a games room, a sensory path and terraces overlooking the mountains.
We live here as the season commands. In the summer we pick fruit, make juices and preserves. We collect honey from beehives, go for ten-kilometer walks with a break for wonderful, hand-made gingerbreads, fish in a backyard pond, check what's good in our favorite cafe in Nowa Ruda. In winter, the hostess looks into the pantry to recall summer, and the host hides in the studio and carves wood. Together with my grandchildren, we build an igloo, check the weather conditions on the slopes, and bask in the sauna. We have recipes for preserves, a little wildness, a little idyll, proven walking routes and a whole lot of cordiality. We are waiting for you in the Sudetes.
With a view of the Bardzkie Mountains, fields, meadows, the habitat of the neighbors and our house behind the road. With the smell of harvest and cherry orchards (the orchard is a neighbor, so please don't eat it). On this side of the road we have two houses, Dziki and Wiejski, a yard full of fun - you can't really get bored here, and then, behind the fence, there are fields, groves, an orchard and greenery.
Domki Dzikowiejsko are situated on a slight slope, thanks to which the Bardzkie Mountains can be seen from the terraces. Sometimes in the morning you can hear a rooster crowing, a hare will run sideways or our bitch Dorcia, who loves children, will bark and go for walks and be stroked.
The Dziki House is designed for up to 8 people, has a covered terrace and reflects the wildness of the forest. The smell of wood, natural materials, earth colors. The decor reflects the passion of the host Zbyszek for contact with nature and wood carving.
On the ground floor there is a living room with a large sofa, a fireplace, a beautiful wooden table, a fully equipped kitchen and a small room adjacent to the living room. Behind the sliding rustic door you can rest or read a book in peace (you can also sleep here). Downstairs there is also a bathroom with toilet and shower.
On the first floor there are 3 bedrooms, each for two people. They have comfortable continental beds that can be separated into two single beds. There is also a bathroom with shower upstairs. In the bathroom, fresh towels, hair dryer and even mini cosmetics.
The Country House is a 7-person house that reflects the warmth of a home. Warm colors, wood, a large table for the whole family, a fireplace. The smell of baked dough or delicious preserves are all that reflect hostess Halina. Here you will find beautiful Włocławek ceramics, and on the walls are pine boards made of a hundred-year-old floor, which was accidentally saved from burning by the host.
On the ground floor there is a living room with a fireplace, a large sofa, a large oak table, a fully equipped kitchen and a book-lovers corner with a comfortable chaise longue. There is also a bathroom with a shower here.
On the first floor there are 3 bedrooms with comfortable continental double beds, which can also be separated into two single beds. There is also a bathroom with shower upstairs. In the bathroom towels, hair dryer and mini cosmetics.
Make yourself at home and cook whatever you want. The cabins have well-equipped kitchens, where cooking is a pleasure. Contact us for eggs. We have access to fresh, country eggs from our neighbors, so you can buy good ingredients for fried eggs or an omelette.
Zbyszek is a bee specialist in our family. He looks after the hives and it is from the host that you can buy delicious multi-flower honey. Our neighbors run an Ecological Fruit Farm, so access to seasonal fruit is available. Delicious apples can be purchased on the road No. 8, before the exit to Przyłęk. They also produce organic juices, syrups and preserves. For great bread, local cottage cheese and Cyranka mineral water in glass bottles, it is worth going to Przyłęk (bakery right next to the store).
In the garden there is a place for a bonfire, where you will spend long evenings with the accompaniment of Polish "cicadas", that is crickets.
Our favorite, verified addresses of shops, cafes and restaurants can be found on the list below.
For us, vacations mean freedom, and freedom means choice. Reading books on the terrace or pedaling along singletrack trails. Sunbathing by the pool or hiking in the Bardzkie Mountains. A leisurely stroll to a stream or a rafting trip down the Nysa Kłodzka River gorge. It's all in your hands. We're not trying to force you into anything, but we're presenting the options. And there are plenty of them for a truly long vacation. Dzikowiejsko is sporty and idyllic, lazy and very active. For those who enjoy some active recreation, we have prepared:
- a soccer field,
- a basketball court,
- a large garden chess set where your team members can be the pieces,
- a recreation room - a game room with table football, ping-pong, and a dartboard, among other things,
- bikes for both young and old, suitable for road and cross-country riding,
- a heated swimming pool and a paddling pool for kids - open from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM from May to October.
Just stick your head over the fence and decide where you want to go. The Glacensis Singeltrack MTB trails begin on the road up the village, 3.5 km from Dzikowiejsko. Starting from the Łaszczowa Pass: Two easy trails are available from Łaszczowa:
1. Łaszczowa Loop - Bardo.
2. Łaszczowa Loop - Złoty Stok - 16 km total.
Beginner trails, approximately 3 kilometers long, behind the Bardo Hotel.
Before your arrival, be sure to install the "mapy.cz" app. You'll find plenty of inspiration for trips along the surrounding mountain trails – hiking, running, cycling, and more. We hike a lot ourselves, seeking adventure among the Błędne Skały (Errant Rocks), Skalne Grzyby (Rocky Mushrooms), and climbing Szczeliniec Wielki (Great Szczeliniec Mountains), so we know what's up in the Sudetes. We recommend climbing Kłodzka Góra (yellow and blue trails) with its observation tower between the Łaszczowa Pass and the Kłodzko Pass. From the tower, after climbing 160 steps, you'll be able to admire the Śnieżnik Massif, the Orle, Bardzkie, and Sowie Mountains. We recommend driving to the nearby Łaszczowa Pass and setting off from there.
Another hiking and cycling route is the Dzikowie classic. 9 km to Graniec via Mała Góra, along picturesque ridges and through two ravines. Along the way, you'll see roe deer, and if you're lucky, you'll even meet other hikers on the trail. The mapa.cz app will guide you to your destination, either along a hiking or cycling trail. We've recorded our routes in the app, so you can find a ready-made walking guide there.
After you've explored the mountains, you can take an adventurous rafting trip along the Nysa Kłodzka River gorge in Bardo or discover the unique Torfowisko pod Zieleniec nature reserve. We also recommend:
- Seeing the Gold Mine in Złoty Stok, where you'll be guided by our fantastic guides.
- Visiting the Kłodzko Fortress and the Kłodzko Old Town with its Charles Bridge.
- Admire the beauty of Srebrna Góra and try delicious pizza at Stodoła.
- Drinking mineral waters at the nearby spas of Polanica Zdrój and Lądek Zdrój. - Discover the beautiful Marianna Oriańska Castle and park in Kamieniec Ząbkowicki.
- Go for the exquisite handmade gingerbread at the Gingerbread Factory in Bardo and schedule a gingerbread painting workshop.
- Participate in a cheese-making workshop at the Sery Lutomierskie studio.
In winter, it's worth:
- Spend some time at the nearby ski resorts – take Zieleniec, for example, with its alpine microclimate. Snow remains here until May, and the resort has 30 lifts. You can enjoy downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, or sledding.
- Go to one of the best ski resorts in Poland, Czarna Góra Resort, and zip up the mountain on the Luxtorpeda, a modern, super-fast cable car. And descend on snowboard or skis. In summer, Czarna Góra is the pinnacle of sports. It's in the Clean Air Zone 365 days a year.
Alternatively, you can always lounge with a view of the Bardzkie Mountains. And in the evening, relax by the fireplace or in the relaxation cottage with a Finnish sauna (located next to the Uroczysko cottage, behind the fence).
Prepare for squeals of delight, leaps of joy, wet hair, dirty knees, scraped elbows, and grins from ear to ear. If your kids can't sit still, wanting to know what's behind the nearest mountain, what an apple tastes like fresh off the tree, when the harvest is, where the stream flows from, and who in the family can score the most goals – you've hit the jackpot. We have five grandchildren ourselves, and as we know, grandparents want to do everything they can for their grandchildren.
We've prepared so many attractions on-site that no weather, no bad mood, and no boredom can stop us. The garden awaits both young and old:
- A heated swimming pool and a paddling pool for the little ones (covered by a roof in case of inclement weather). The pool is open seasonally from May to October. - Recreation room - "Grywialnia" with foosball, ping-pong table, darts, and fitness equipment, where even a storm won't spoil the fun.
- Lighted soccer and basketball courts,
- In the garden, giant chess sets for Harry Potter-style games, as well as small tabletop ones.
- Bikes and helmets for both young and old, suitable for road and cross-country riding.
- Campfire area.
- Swings and sandbox.
- A sensory health trail for young and old, which stimulates circulation, releases endorphins, activates receptors, reduces tension and stress. Try walking on the pine cones and you'll see it's no piece of cake.
While your little ones are burning off their little batteries on the soccer field, jumping into the pool, playing foosball, swinging, shooting hoops, and inventing chess games, you'll have ten minutes of peace and quiet. The terraces next to the cottages offer a great view of the entire yard, so you can keep an eye on the kids' fun at all times.
Regardless of whether you choose a wild or country house, you will feel at home in both from the first day of your stay. The cottages are rented as a whole, so you don't have to worry about your roommate eavesdropping during a video call. In the Wild and Country House, in one of the rooms, there is a desk with a lamp. However, if you like to work on a soft surface, we invite you to the salons, where you can spread your office on a comfortable sofa. After a coffee break, we invite you to the third place of work, which is a large table for eight people. After the less pleasant part of the day, it's time to change into swimming trunks or bikini and sprint to the pool to relax. Because that's the essence of workation.
