At a glance
In the last century, the most beautiful shell buttons in the world were produced in the area. The shells were fished out of the lazily flowing Wkra, polished, holes were cut and sent to factories. It is possible that you also have clothes with buttons from Sochocin. Here, in the ice-marginal valley of the Wkra river in Mazovia, we have lived in harmony with nature for centuries. We take the best of it. Therefore, we most often travel by bicycle or on foot. We have already tramped the Sienkiewicz Tourist Trail, we have traveled the Four Bridges route by bikes, and in summer we most often visit from the level of a kayak.
The great oak "Piast" is also doing quite well, under which Jan III Sobieski reportedly took a nap. We cultivate this tradition - because nothing compares to a quiet nap under one of the trees in the garden. In addition, we watch the birds, the moose visits us, and when our humor drops, we go out to explore the crops. We burn fires, invent wishes to shooting stars, and when it rains - we stretch out in front of the goat in the living room and count the drops through huge windows. Our life goes on in Warsaw, but we spend every free moment traveling. When our family grew larger, and thus distant journeys became temporarily more difficult, we decided to build our springboard - a place where adults can catch their breath and kids can go crazy.
This is how the House of the Fields was created.
