Explorers of peace, creators of free time, enthusiasts of unhurried exploration, come. Get out of the everyday context and fall into the Low Beskids. We have a lot to discover here, because the world has probably forgotten about us. It is enough to stick your nose beyond Binczarowa, and there are trails, slopes, routes and promenades. And silence in Binczarowa. Cichosza, it will be deserted and only the stream murmurs behind the fence. This does not mean that boredom will overcome you. We are just like the Atlantis of the Low Beskids, an undiscovered green island on the map. We have, however, wonderful dukty-stokówki, a whole atlas of mushrooms in the forest, views of the Beskids, old chapels and a house that stood here when the world was completely different. The Lemkos lived there, and then my grandparents. My dad was born here, and now it's our turn. We saved what we could, built a new bread oven, added a floor with a beautiful window and filled the interior with unique furniture. And all this with our marital strength. We planted the house with pansies, flowers that remind me of my grandmother. We have painted the fence surrounding the large garden with Pansy Royal Blue.
Now we are proud to hand it over to you. A cottage from 1927 with an old soul and much more to discover. Make yourself comfortable in cozy bedrooms, warm in a tub with bubbles, order a home-made dinner from Mrs. Wiesia, and we will gladly provide you with the best guide around the region - our dog Wafel. Come with your pets, dogs, cats, goats are welcome.
It's time to replace the hot concrete with a resting ground. Behind the blue fence, by the humming stream, stands our black and white house. This is where my dad was born, here I used to visit my grandmother. When it hit our hands, it was in a deplorable condition, so during the renovation we saved what we could. We replaced the rotten beams, put a new roof, added a porch and a sitting area upstairs with a large panoramic window. We did almost everything ourselves, with our own marital strength. We put in furniture with a soul and built a bread oven. We planted pansies in the garden, because these are flowers that I associate with my grandmother inextricably.
We surrounded the huge, two-level garden with a fence in the "Pansy Royal Blue" color, but believe me it was not easy. That's thousands of hours spent with the brush on the boards. We painted nearly 1,500 rails, so now painting the Chinese Wall would not be a challenge for us. However, you can take your dog, cat or goat with you on vacation and not worry that they will run away at the earliest opportunity.
There is also a pleasure zone in the garden with a Finnish heated tub and bubbles. We have rejuvenating water from the well, a fireplace, a herb and fruit garden and plenty of space.
The house is designed for 11 people and its layout is as follows.
On the ground floor you will find:
- a huge living room connected to the kitchen (kitchen with fireplaces and a normal kitchenette),
- a dining room with a table for 10 people is adjacent to the kitchen,
- a bedroom with two single beds,
- a second bedroom with a double bed
- bathroom with shower.
On the floor:
- a living room with a large window, two armchairs and a fold-out sofa,
- a bedroom with a double bed,
- a second bedroom with a double bed
- a large bedroom with 3 single beds and a playroom for children,
- bathroom with a wooden bathtub.
We approve of slow-cooking and this is what we encourage you to do. The original Pansy Cottage had a stove made of small pebbles, which, however, after many years, could unfortunately be demolished. To preserve the atmosphere of this almost 100-year-old cottage, we have built a brick oven in the kitchen, where you can make pizza, bread, rolls, and the broth from such a plate tastes completely unique. In the kitchen, there is of course also a contemporary stove with an oven, fridge, dishwasher and other achievements of the 21st century. Adjacent to the kitchen is a dining room with a table for 10 people. We know from experience that morning jackdaw tastes best in an armchair on the porch.
To buy strawberries and wild strawberries for dessert, herbs for soup and lettuce for another, all you need to do is go out to the garden. Depending on the season, different delicacies are grown there.
If cooking is not in your mind, our trusted Mrs. Wiesia will help you. You can order breakfast, lunch and dinner with her. You can walk a few steps, because Mrs. Wiesia is a neighbor from the same village, or you can order food with delivery to your door. If you want local cheese, eggs or bread, Mrs. Wiesia will also help you.
For oenological experiments, go to the Chodorowa Vineyard - 18 km from us. You can see how wine is made, listen to what the production looks like and finally get a taste of it. Mrs. Grażynka is a very warm and open person, she will tell, show and offer you. We highly recommend a visit by appointment.
Just around the corner, a map of hiking, skiing and biking trails looks like a person's bloodstream. The network of interspersed multi-colored threads stretches for kilometers. In Ptaszkowa, in Szymbark and in Krynica. And our place is empty, not even dashes. This does not mean that there is nowhere to go and what to get. It is enough to go outside the blue gate and you will have a big decision. We have a lot of routes in each direction, but they are not included in the routes. In the forest, for example, there are slopes, i.e. hardened forest paths, perfect for bicycles and walks. We checked on ourselves that you can walk, trekking and ride them for several days non-stop and not hit the same place. Let yourself be carried away, this is your chance to set your own routes.
Our dog Wafel is a brilliant guide on the surrounding paths, he knows every corner and every nook and cranny and will gladly show you around the neighborhood. If you are practicing sightseeing tourism, be sure to walk (5 km) to the Jaworze tower (882 m above sea level). In good weather, you can admire the Tatra Mountains from the top.
The yard is all singing, humming and murmuring. Behind the fence runs the Pasieka stream, where you can soak your feet, and you can soak up to your waist in the tub in the garden. You can dry out and tan the face, and maybe even the legs, on comfortable sun loungers. You can nibble a strawberry from a flower bed, sip water from a well, and light a fire in the evening. We have plenty of grass, so take balls, paddles, Frisbee.
We would like to recommend you our winter cross-country trails, but although the area is perfect for skiing, we do not have professionally prepared trails yet. We are working on it! We can already recommend you the slopes: Kamianna Ski Station, Ptaszkowa Winter Sports Center and Cieniawa-Ski - these are just a few of the closest suggestions.
In autumn, be sure to take wellies and baskets with you, because there is a whole atlas of mushrooms waiting in the forest.
What’s there for children?
For kids, we have a corner in the large bedroom upstairs. It's a hiding place from adults, a secret base, because it's hard for adults to get there. Józef, a horse, and Eustachy, a cat, live there - domestic animals, as in the countryside. The toys are handmade by our friend from the Perobebe studio. Take rain boots for the little ones, because if not mud, there is tempting water in the stream - they will always be useful. In our yard, on a slope between two levels of the garden, we have flower beds. You can eat wild strawberries and blueberries, collect lettuce for dinner, and water the herbs with water from the well. This is the life in the countryside - nothing is happening, and there is always something to do.
