It's great that you are here, we've been waiting for you. Suitcases securely packed, snacks for the road are waiting, playlist with hits for the journey is ready. You can leave a set of toys at home, because we have a corner with books, games and other goodies, a great playground, and a swimming pool in the summer. Such decent equipment can only mean one thing - we spend every free moment here with our family. With kids, friends, parents and relatives. However, we do not have endless holidays, which is a pity if our beloved vacation home was empty. So we invite you to Kujawy.
You can have countless or not many attractions. You can drink a coffee on the terrace, watching the deer behind the fence or the ducks landing on the garden pond. You can read the book cover to cover while the kids go crazy in the playground or float in the swimming pool. You can cook vegetables straight from the flower bed or admire the stars through a telescope. However, before you see the sky, go to nearby Toruń to the house of Nicolaus Copernicus and to the Astronomical Observatory of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Piwnice. Jump to the lakes or cast a fishing line in the pond in front of the house. Just do what you have the melody for.
In a house that we have built with our family in mind, and we come here in our free time. At other times, the house is empty, so it would be a pity not to share it. Especially that you can relax here perfectly - you can jump to the lakes, you can fish in your own backyard, drive to Toruń when checkered weather, go for a bike ride or eat strawberries from a flower bed.
We have a garden of 40 ares, with 2 terraces, a gazebo, a playground for kids, a fish pond, a vegetable and fruit garden, and in the summer we set up a swimming pool.
Make yourself comfortable in our 4-bedroom house that can accommodate 8 people. On the ground floor there is a living room with a dining area, a corner with toys for children, a well-equipped kitchen and a bathroom with a shower.
Upstairs you will find 4 bedrooms:
- the first bedroom with a double bed,
- a second bedroom with a double bed,
- a third, interconnecting bedroom with a double bed, from which there is access to
- a smaller, fourth bedroom with two single beds.
On the first floor there is also a large bathroom with a shower, bathtub and two sinks.
If necessary, we can provide travel cots for children.
The kitchen in the house is equipped really neatly. You will be able to cook, prepare, bake, cook, grill and blend. There are a lot of places for common feasting - on the terrace by the house, on the next garden terrace, in the gazebo, in the dining room. It is enough to go out to the garden for vegetables and fruit. Depending on the season, you will find zucchini, tomatoes, strawberries, wild strawberries, carrots, beets and many other delicacies on the beds. There is a fruit part next to the playground. There are pears, apples, blueberries, raspberries, gooseberries, currants, cherries and peaches on the trees and shrubs. There are fish swimming in the pond so you can catch your lunch. Get your fishing rods.
Welcome to Kujawy. If you have never visited this corner of the country, we are in a hurry to explain what you can expect here. Rowing canoes on Drwęca (rental in Lubicz), swimming in lakes (Okonin Steklin, Piotrkowskie), sightseeing, e.g. Teutonic castle in Golub, Toruń, e.g. the Living Gingerbread Museum or Planetarium, trips to Ciechocinek to see the Salt Works Museum and Spa Treatment . You can also stay still from our garden and soak up the greenery.
We have 40 ares of garden overlooking the meadows and forest. There is a stocked pond in the garden, so don't forget your fishing rods. Ducks from the area often land on our pond. There is a white terrace by the pond for reading books or serving afternoon tea. There is a second terrace next to the house, the one for morning coffee, breakfast, grilling and soaking up the views. Early risers in the morning mist can spot deer that have their lair behind our fence.
You can also go cycling (available on site), mushroom or blueberry picking in the forest, and in the evening time to observe the sky through a telescope.
What’s there for children?
If you are looking for a quiet haven to explore the area where kids will absolutely not be bored, you've come to the right place. We have small children ourselves, so we have also arranged the house and garden with the youngest in mind. In the house, by the stairs, there is a corner with toys, a table and chairs, books and games. There are also bikes and scooters for kids (such little toddlers) in the house. There is also a star gazing telescope in the house, so you can play astronomers. To find out a bit more what is shining in the sky, be sure to go to Toruń to the Planetarium. When you are in the city, take a look at the Living Gingerbread Museum - it is an attraction for the whole family. After returning home, it's time to play in the garden. We have a large space with a swimming pool, a pond with fish right next to it, a place to kick the ball. In a fenced-off space (which children would not be tempted to look into the pond), a great playground set on the sand, hammocks, a gazebo, which can be a great base for games - in a shop, in a house, in a restaurant, in a school. In addition, a stream flows just behind the fence and a forest begins - there are plenty of places to walk.
