Get in the bear's skin for a while.
Being a little bear cub means spending time with your beloved bear mom. Her big paws are full of tenderness and won't let anything happen to you. You can curl up in her bushy fur coat and be sure that you are completely safe here.
The adult bear is a loner, he likes his peace. During the day, he wanders slowly and thoughtfully through nature, quietly treats through the clearings and watches carefully what is rustling where. And he knows very well how important rest is. In addition to the classic night's sleep, he regularly enjoys a holiday of normal life, even a four-month vacation.
And what does this have to do with a cottage in the Beskydy Mountains? The equipment of the cottage is comfortable and embracing, like the fur coat and paws of a large bear. Here you can be alone, wander through the Beskydy nature, and at the same time you always have a place to return. In a cozy, heated bed, full of wood, natural materials and places to rest.
Chalet Bear Rock is furnished in the style of an alpine chalet. Don't expect any minimalism with us. Wood, leather, stone, ornaments and conveniences of the modern world - all so that you do not feel like in a soulless hotel, but as in your own, great cottage in the Beskydy Mountains.
LIVING ROOM AND KITCHEN
When you come to us, you will find yourself in the living room in muted colors. You are already breathing peace here. Sit straight on one of the two luxury sofas and look around. Flood in the fireplace and take the time to tune in to Slow Travel. Children can immediately throw themselves into games, books or movies.
The living room is followed by a generous kitchen with a large American fridge and a spacious dining room. We are constantly adding kitchen equipment according to what our guests lacked. That's why you can find a rice maker or smoothie maker here.
1ST FLOOR
You can reach the first floor by a beautiful spiral staircase with a hand-forged railing. You will be enchanted by the glazed view to the ground floor and the refined combination of wood and metal. On the first floor there are 3 double rooms (each with its own flat screen TV) and a breathtaking, originally designed bathroom with a glass shower. The rooms are far enough apart to enjoy the desired privacy.
2ND FLOOR
The attic rooms on the second floor are slightly more spacious with access to the balcony. Both rooms have a comfortable double bed, the larger one has a desk and a cot (if you wish). The blue-stone upper bathroom is reminiscent of a Roman bath and features a bathtub with massage jets.
TERRACE
The cottage is surrounded by a ground floor stone terrace with a covered shelter and wooden benches. The wooden terrace on the first floor takes you to the wellness corner, to the waterfall and to the smokehouse with a pleasant outdoor seating area.
Reconstruction and great interiors, we could do it. But cook for you? We don't dare. Therefore, you have a beautiful large kitchen with all the common and specific elements of equipment, such as rice cooker or smoothie maker. The kitchen also has a large American refrigerator, so you can make large supplies in the store, you have a place to store them.
GRILLING
With us, you can diversify your menu not only by grilling, but also by smoking. Yes it's right. We have a great smokehouse for you and we will be happy to explain how to do it. You can enjoy sitting on the terrace or in the covered shelter with wooden benches.
However, if you want to taste a real gourmet experience, let us know. We will order a chef for you, who will prepare a menu on request, or rent a nicely equipped grill house. You just won't surprise us. We will arrange whatever you feel like. We will arrange only breakfast for you, if that is your wish.
WINE CELLAR
If you can't imagine a holiday without tasting quality wines, order a visit to our wine cellar. We have easy-to-drink wines and archival gems. The cellar is cozy, well equipped and spacious. So if you have something to celebrate, here is the perfect place for it.
BESKYDY
We know that you will not want to leave our cottage, but we definitely recommend exploring the surroundings. Believe us, it's beautiful here. We have everything for summer and winter sports: bike paths, hiking trails, ski resorts and cross-country circuits.
WELLNESS
And after a demanding sports afternoon, treat yourself to regeneration in our wellness zone. We have a nice sauna, after which you can cool off in an unadulterated waterfall. The water is cold, so keep shouting. Here you are alone in nature, here you can.
The warm whirlpool is a beautiful end to a day full of relaxation. Enjoy your moment just for yourself, or use the sensual bubbling to restart that proverbial spark with your partner. Or stuff everyone there, at least it'll be fun.
If you do not have enough sauna and whirlpool, you can also order an outdoor relax barrel from us. Wellness splendor made of noble wood is located among the trees. The water is heated by small stones and you can control its temperature. It's great in hot summers and crackling winters. And the nature all around!
TRIPS
Come and see the statue of Radegast, a pagan god, standing on the mountain Radhošť. You can get there by a moderately demanding mountain bike trail or get a little closer by car or bus and walk the rest on foot. And if you have an extra lazy mood, use the cable car.
It is said that the idol of the pagan god of hospitality, fertility and harvest, Radegast, stood on top of the mountain. People came to the sacred mountain, brought gifts to it, and sacrificed animals. According to legend, the heralds Cyril and Methodius, who came to Great Moravia to spread Christianity, tore it down and built a cross in its place.
At the very top of Radhoště today is a cross from 1805, a sculpture of both heralds, a television transmitter and the chapel of St. Cyril and Methodius. This chapel is the highest church in the Czech Republic. There is a bronze plaque in the chapel, commemorating the visit of the President of the Republic T. G. Masaryk in 1928.
The statue of Radegast is now located on the road between the chapel and Pustevny. The body is male, the face of a lion and the head is protected by a helmet in the form of a bull's head with horns. In his right hand he holds the horn of plenty, in his left ax. The statue of the academic sculptor Albín Polášek was installed on the mountain in 1931, but due to climatic influences, the statue began to disintegrate. So you will find a granite copy of it on the mountain. The original is placed at the town hall in Frenštát pod Radhoštěm.
The ruins of Hukvaldy Castle, Medvědí skála or Beskydy Brewery are definitely worth a visit.
What’s there for children?
In the cottage you will find board games, toys and books, which will save children time. You will definitely entice the little ones to beautiful walks and observations of squirrels, the older ones you will rather attract to TV, X-Box and Air Hockey. But so what. Let everyone have fun in their own way, especially when you will finally have room for your thoughts.
