At a glance

Stanisław Ignacy Witkiewicz wrote in Echo Tatrzański: “For weak people, Zakopane is almost as deadly [...] as meeting a demonic woman [...]. In the atmosphere of Zakopane [...] there is a subtle drug, a hundred times worse than opium smoke and hashish marmalade.” 100 years later, these words are still valid - you can leave not only your heart in the capital of the Tatra Mountains. And certainly it is not difficult to get dizzy in an almost 120-year-old villa, which, thanks to the love and resourcefulness of several generations of Zakopane residents, combines what is the most beautiful in this city.

In our "Navel of the World", as Rafał Malczewski wrote, you will feel the atmosphere of conspiracy, artistic bohemia, theatre, science and literature, left by the most outstanding people of the era. Willa Ornak is a museum guest house. This means nothing more than that objects that remember the past centuries are still in use. You can still make a phone call with telephones from the 1920s, fall asleep to the ticking of historic clocks and admire the Zakopane stoves, the tiles of which were designed by Witkiewicz himself. You could say we stopped time here. The most beautiful.

We are on-site, we give our guests space and intimacy, but we're always ready to help

We wave to you from Zakopane, from a special place where we have stopped time! The owners of the Ornak Museum House are Tadeusz Klimczak and Aldona Jabłońska-Klimczak. They decided to put the house in its present form to the use of guests, guided by the need to provide a unique testimony of material culture and history of Zakopane. Ornak has been welcoming guests since 1993. The museum in the form of a guesthouse is active museology, that is, one in which the historic object of the exhibition is not only simply viewed, but is made available to guests for use. Currently, the role of hosts is played by us - Magda and Maciek. Ornak is our space where we fell in love at first sight. Being in a big city, we wanted everyday life surrounded by mountains and greenery, to live in accordance with the natural rhythm, clean water and slow breathing. We are active teachers of Qigong and Kundalini Yoga. We are happy to talk about these forms and practice together with the guests. We invite you wholeheartedly.

The historic building is wonderful, and the tablecloths and bedspreads in the rooms are perfectly matched. You can really feel the owner's good taste.

To prawdziwa perła architektury i historii.

Dziękujemy i do zobaczenia następnym razem!
