In the wild nature of Central Pohronia you will find a unique place - Mountain Ranch. Or, as the host Monika lovingly calls it - Mountain paradise for rescued animals. At Novobanské stály, with a view of Štiavnické vrchy and Pohronský Inovec, invites you to discover a completely different world. And you don't need much at all - you just need to turn off the highway and allow yourself to get lost in nature.

Here at the Mountain Ranch, which was and is a refuge not only for rescued horses, cats and dogs, gardens and quiet corners await you. Here you can get lost for a while, finally walk barefoot even in a pulled-up T-shirt. Lying in a hammock or on the grass with a book in hand all day. Sweeten your morning coffee or tea made from fragrant herbs with a panoramic view, refresh your feet in the gurgling streams in the summer, or just cool off in the clean lake, where you can bathe all year round. Trade the speed and hustle for rest and reset and the hustle and bustle of the city for a place where the night is dark and the night sky is dotted with bright stars. And in addition to all this, breathe properly and with full lungs. Because, as Monika told us, the ranch's ideal altitude and highly oxygenated air help with breathing problems, allergies and stress.

And Monika has one more thing for you, an offer of a complete organic vegan diet - peace food. For the pleasure of body and soul, prepared with respect for nature and love for animals. Thanks to Monika's efforts and care, Horský Ranch is the only 100% vegan resort in Slovakia.

With a big heart, I take care of Horský Ranch and all its approximately 100 animal inhabitants, I build and plant beautiful gardens and mysterious corners, I organize courses on learning about medicinal herbs and the production of natural cosmetics, workshops on the art of vegan cuisine for whole-cell nutrition, I practice flow yoga to relax the body , calming the mind and opening the heart.

How do I get there?

Car

  • Guests who arrive by train or bus can arrange a taxi in advance, or take public transport from the ILEND bus station to the terminal. You can reach the complex by car. Arrival from the highway: direction CENTRUM, continue along the main road until Námestie slobody (town hall/museum on the left, VUB on the right). From the square to the right along the main road, you will go down the hill, at the crossroads at the cross turn left (along the main road). After a few km, the main road (Dlhá lúka) will turn 90° to the right (direction TAJCH), here you have to follow the side mountain to the left (direction Kolibská cesta). Further along the main road, i.e. at the grocery store on the right, at the kindergarten on the left (here the main road starts to be called Kolibská cesta). Continue along the Kolibská road straight for 3.8 km WITHOUT A TURN until its very end to the red gate of Koliba (3 haylofts), look to the left and up and you will see our dark green gate. We are looking forward to you! Arriving from the direction of Partizánske / Prievidza: from road 512 turn onto Nová Baňa, after about 6 km you will pass the Nová Baňa sign and after a few 100m on the right hand side there will be a small lane with a white flagpole with indicators, here you will leave the main road (which will go to the left to the city) and turn 90° to the right (direction Kolibská cesta). Further along the main road, i.e. at the grocery store on the right, at the kindergarten on the left (here the main road starts to be called Kolibská cesta). Continue along the Kolibská road straight for 3.8 km WITHOUT A TURN to the very end after 2 gates, the dark green one on the upper left is Horský Ranch. We are looking forward to you!

Other rules

  • 1. Tenants are obliged by their behavior to prevent the danger of damage to the object and its internal and external equipment and plantings, to prevent the occurrence of fire and not to harm animals. Contact with all animals on the ranch is at your own risk! Do not enter areas reserved for horses. An electric fence for horses can be live. Do not feed horses, dogs, cats, poultry. Do not open aviaries with guard dogs, do not stick your hands into the aviary bars.
    2. Damages caused intentionally or by negligence are considered destruction of property and compensation is required for them.
    3. In the event of an accident, injury to health or other unforeseen circumstances, the lessor bears no responsibility. For safety reasons, it is not allowed to leave children under 12 without adult supervision. The movement of the child in reserved parts of the area and contact with animals is accompanied by parents. The parent is obliged to familiarize his child with the mentioned safety rules and to ensure that they are observed.
    4. The lessor is not responsible for things, the return of money and valuables brought to the premises by guests and for damage caused to stored things. Tenants are responsible for damage caused to the property and equipment of the house during the rental period.
    5. Handling of furniture and equipment is prohibited in the house. Interior decorations (blankets, pillows, lamps) are not taken out of the rooms.
    6. He changes into his house shoes in the house.
    7. Smoking and handling open flames are strictly prohibited inside the house. Smoking is only allowed on the outdoor terrace and cigarette butts must be thrown into the ashtray, not into the grass!
    8. Outside, it is allowed to set fire only on the designated fire pit. If the fire is not under supervision, it must be extinguished. A grill and tools are available. All tools and accessories will be cleaned and returned undamaged after use by the tenants.
    9. Sort your garbage honestly, please do not flush the leftovers! The sewage treatment plant does not even include hygiene items!
    10. On the day of departure, the tenants will return the house and surroundings to their original state: washed and stored dishes, stove, grill and kettle tools, cleaned fireplace, tidy terrace. The rental price includes changing the duvets and making the beds, bathroom and floor hygiene, but the price does NOT include cleaning of carpets, mattresses, soiling of rocking chairs with food, painting of scribbled or otherwise dirty walls and other excessive pollution...
    11. Please understand and respect that the house is located in the private area of the animal shelter, so please do not bring visitors who are not staying here. There is a seating area for gatherings with invited family or friends, where you can enjoy herbal teas, coffee or smoothies together or donate food to the animals.
