People say that you can breathe fully in Świeradów due to the exquisite microclimate of these times, consisting mainly of clean air. Life here is excellent, because we are oxygenated by hiking on mountain trails, we are well rested, because we are in the night environment of the Dark Sky Park, unpolluted by artificial light, and in the heat we are protected by the shadow of Smrek and Wysoka Kopa.
We invite you to the half-timbered house that remembers the Czech Asculants and the times when everyday life was mixed with religious beliefs and tales of fantastic creatures inhabiting the mountains: ghosts, ghosts and dwarfs working in mines. In a gust of wind, put your ear to a wooden wall and hear the legends that the house whispers. About the Spirit of the Mountains, hidden treasures and wonderful plants. Believe us - here in Jizera, we have the right amount of modernity, folklore and magic that accompanies us every day.
The vast majority of the house is wooden, it creaks, knocks and knocks, but we forgive its imperfections, because it was most likely built at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries, and its foundations can be remembered even by Czech religious refugees - Exulators who over 350 years ago found peace and new house in the tolerant area of Upper Lusatia. So he is old. But yarns. It is also a testimony to the construction technique before the industrial revolution, when the most common natural local material was used for construction. Our house was originally built of wood, clay, straw, stones and lime. We wanted to relate as much as possible to those times when construction was truly ecological. We have adopted the principle that we first use the resources we have, only when it is impossible we reach for new ones. We do not care that the old is crooked, uneven, time-worn - these are the things that only give the home authenticity.
We have three rooms of different sizes at your disposal.
- The green room consists of a bedroom and a bathroom in the attic of the house with a total area of 23 m2. View from two windows to the east side, garden and further Zajęcznik and Góra Zamkowa. In the room there are three single beds, a table, a nineteenth-century wardrobe and two bedside tables. The bathroom has a toilet, sink and shower. The room is finished with natural materials with exposed structural elements of the attic, a visible half-timbered structure (wooden frame made of beams filled with clay with accessories) and partially upholstered with spruce board.
- The blue room consists of two rooms and a bathroom on the first floor of the house with a total area of 38 m2. The view from the four windows to the east side - the garden and a visible fragment of Zajęcznik and Góra Zamkowa. The room has two single beds and one double bed, 140 cm wide, a table, a wardrobe and two bedside tables. The bathroom has a toilet, sink and shower. The room is finished with natural materials with an exposed half-timbered structure (wooden frame made of beams filled with clay with accessories) and partially upholstered with pine boards. The heavenly room is the lowest in our house. If you are a very tall person, you will feel better in the attic rooms.
The Great Chamber with mazerowanie is our largest room we offer (almost 50 m2). The Grand Chamber is located in the attic and has windows on three sides of the world. From the south, when the trees are losing their leaves, there is a view of Stóg Izerski and Czerniawska Kopa. The room has three single beds and one double bed, 140 cm wide, a table, a nineteenth-century wardrobe, four bedside tables, two armchairs and a coffee table. . The bathroom has a shower. The room is finished with natural materials with exposed structural elements of the attic, upholstered with a spruce board.
At your disposal is a large common space on the first floor with a kitchenette, dining area and a relaxing corner with a sofa and armchair. On the shelves you will find games, guides and publications about our region. On the ground floor, in the old barn, we have set up a workshop with a ski room and a bicycle room. In the workshop, we have a service stand and a set of bicycle tools.
Our offer is without meals, sometimes we throw something to our guests, if possible, it's some pastries, it's seasonal fruit :-)
However, if you expect breakfast or full board, there is a chance to eat in a befriended, slow-hop Biorezydencja, which offers tasty breakfasts and in the VEGE version. It's only a 5 min walk from our house.
In addition, in the immediate vicinity we also have the Ametyst restaurant at the Cottonina hotel, where you can also order breakfast.
We also have Kuźnia Smaków and Caffe Wolna restaurants nearby. and the whole spectrum of pubs is located a little further, in the center of Świeradów, including our favorite Greek pub "Kalamata", the Indian "Cinnamon Słoń" and the best pizzeria "La Gondola".
We have not heard yet that it is possible to be bored in Świeradów. After all, you can with us:
- take a gondola to Stóg Izerski, and from it go for a beautiful walk to Hala Izerska and to Jakuszyce through the Jakuszycka clearing (ideal areas for cross-country skiing in winter)
- drink water with a questionable taste but curative effect,
- go for a walk in the clouds on the Sky Walk tower and slide down a 100-meter slide,
- take a bath in the Kwisy waterfall,
- soak your feet in the Waterhole stream,
- maneuver the surrounding trails,
- take mud baths in the Bow-Guinea Treatment Department, formerly known as Maria Łazienki Park,
- wander to the Chatka Górzystów hostel where they serve the famous pancakes,
- admire the Milky Way, nebulae, galaxies, star clusters, and with great luck, also shooting stars in the Izerski Dark Sky Park in Hala Izerska,
- climb into the vicinity of the Stanisław Quartz Mine, i.e. the highest located opencast mine in Central Europe, where milky and pink quartz crystals were mined,
- visit Czocha Castle and Frydlant.
The rain is a great opportunity to visit museums (there are as many as 3 in Szklarska Poręba), exhibitions and galleries. The rain itself can also be an attraction. Especially when it flows down a mountain river and comes across a rocky threshold. After heavy rains, both waterfalls in the vicinity of Szklarska Poręba: Kamieńczyk and Szklarka, are extremely spectacular. It is worth visiting the St. John in Krobnica - the mining tour is extremely colorful: the tin surrounding quartz deposits, iron and blood grenades are a feast for the eyes. The guides reveal the secrets of mining from the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries, discovering the dark world of mining pioneers.
Cyclists can with us:
- your strength on one of the many bicycle Single Tracks,
- practice MTB skills on nearby forest roads,
- and in July, cyclists struggling in the Road Classic go to the Izera roads between Szklarska Poręba and Świeradów-Zdrój.
In winter, we also do not get bored here and we offer you:
- skiing in the ski station SKI & amp; SUN Świeradów Zdrój,
- changing legs in cross-country skiing in Jakuszyce,
And if you dream of longer trips, nothing stands in the way of going to Dresden (stunning architecture) or Prague (Hradcany, Golden Lane and delicious beer). We also recommend a trip to Liberec through the Szklarska Pass and the Jizera Mountains.
Jizerské summer is the land of children's games! You can wander along the trails, venture into the forest, pick blackberries, watch ants, weave wreaths and paddle in streams. With the kids, you can go by gondola lift to the top of Stóg Izerski and to Czarci Młyn, where the youngest will learn the legend of the devil and learn how bread is made "from grain to loaf". It is worth visiting the nearby Center for Ecological Education "Izerska Łąka", listening to a lecture on the Jizera Mountains, dark skies and the life of insects. On the Czech side, you can organize a sentimental journey in the 19th century "Zębatka". The route of the historic railway is as beautiful as it is steep - it overcomes a height difference of 235 meters! This is possible thanks to the locomotive's toothed wheels, which go into the teeth of the track track. It's worth it!
In winter, we have a snow fairy tale here! Be sure to take waterproof clothes, gloves and a sled, because here you will find claws from every hill! Younger children can try their hand at skiing, and older children can cross-country (we have a lot of ski schools here). In Jakuszyce, you can also rent a ski trailer, in which the little ones will ride cross-country trails.
